Hmm I have downpipe, ecu, exhaust x pipe...
I did 6 hp more than an ECU flashed c63...
I was very disappointed... (forum member Yooker)
I think that I got reflashed by the dealer 1 month ago...
What do you guys think?
Also Enjoy the Video!

What tune did you have?, Can you contact the vendor and send your ECU for a reflash?, that sucks that the dealer reflashed back to stock. That is the reason why I am holding on my ECU tune, I want to wait until my 10000 mile service then send the ECU for a tune. Good luck!

I keep reading about these "dealer reflashed ECU back to stock" at the 10k services. How credible are these "claims?" Are there any one with real experiences and hard evidence that their ECU was matter-of-factly reflashed back to stock by the dealership? Can any tuners (Kleemann, LET, PC) or users attest to these stories? I recently got my ECU flashed and it would suck if I have to send my ECU back to Kleemann after every 10k service.

That's pretty common for the dealer to flash back. They'll flash you anytime they have an update for your car if their service department doesn't suck. Guess that depends how you look at it. Most tuners that I've talked to will reflash for a way lower charge than the original flash....

I am running Powerchip flash, I think its just because its a new update, not really blaming them since they are doing their job... also I was in for my 30k+ Service anyways...
Oh yeah did you guys see the fire that I spat out in the video? haha I love it.

Can you post some graphs and data regarding the cars and dynos? It is hard to anayize anything without real numbers.
What does your "downpipe" consist of? Do you still have stock manifolds? stock cats?
Here is what I know. There were two C63s on the dyno today.
1) ECU Tune Only
2) ECU Tune + Downpipe and X-Pipe that made 6HP more.
If you were flashed back to stock, you would be considerbly down on power, certainly not 6HP higher than another flashed car. Your graph would show a very flat curve over 5500 RPMs
Instead, it sounds to me like you aren't getting your expected gains out of your downpipe and X-Pipe.
More data please . . .

Jeffield> Hope you manage to figure out what's going on with your Powerchip tune. Meanwhile, I just have to say...."your car sounds absolutely ferocious!"

Jeffield - you can go to your local dealer and purchase a spare ECU. They will bring it in, flash it to match your car and then you are good to. Whenever the car is in for work you put the stock ECU back in and no questions. Thats what I did.
They cost about $1500 and they charge around $250 to match it up to your car and vin number but once thats done you are good from then on.

Car sounds wicked...very nice. That throttle-blip downshift at 21 seconds was great. I watched the video 5 times. Thanks for posting.
I tend to agree with a previous post; if you're UP 6 horsepower, it doesn't seem to make sense that you lost your +50 horespower tune. So many variables with the dyno pulls...

jeffield, dont get too bummed out about dyno Numbers brother. IMO, and experience from bike Dons, they can vary alot. dynos are only good for measuring before and after results on same vehicle same day, same dyno.i had a 40 minute conversation once with a tech from akrapovic exhaust, which gave me alot of insight about the factors that affect the results of the dyno #'s.tire pressure, altitude, how well the vehicle is strapped to the dyno and the biggest is how well the dyno is tuned.i had my one bike dyno 161 on one dyno and 138 on another.thats when i gave up and through in the towel on dynos.it will drive you nuts.its always better to do real world tests such as 60-130 or 40-120 to see results. P.S. ur car sounds great.

Here's a thought: assuming your powerchip tune turned off the CELs for the cat removal, if MB reflashed you, that CEL would be back on if you're running no cats...right?

It took some time, but I captured the moment. So cool...
(Jeffield, you may be able to grab a better frame with the original file)

They did ask and I was honest with them. I told them I was getting a tune and wanted to keep the stock ECU in tack. They want to sell parts in the parts department and really don't care. I think if you had to order them from the service department we might get more grief. Admittedly, when they came in and the service department had to flash them they wanted to know what was going on but it was too late then. I actually have two spares because at one time I was running the MKB and MHP back to back for testing purposes. That way I could leave the stock one alone. They should not give you any grief. Good luck!
