Does anyone know why the illuminated doors sills aren't an option on the C63? Is this exclusive to coupe models andor the larger sedans? Just curious as I have seen them on several cars including my friends G55.

They are an option in Australia and I do believe other parts of the world.

I know I got the last pair of the "AMG" lighted sills that appeared in the MB inventory system out of Germany (for about $1k USD). The only other pair I've heard of are at a dealership in Miami, FL that won't give them up. The low availability was explained to me as a simple limited production run.

I got them in my Edition 63. They're very nice especially at night.

I got the Brabus ones with the similar deepblue light to the AMG ones, Illuminated door sills are a nice aesthetic mod.
