Hmmm.....

I am a big fan of keeping cars cherry and original. I like Mods, subtle cosmetic mods and mods that cannot be seen like engine/performance, etc., but sometimes they mask the true beauty of how the car intended to be. But If I had to choose, I really like the smoke with yellow bulb. That still retains the side light and its purpose/intentions. Congrats on the new ride...

This also can be seen with a lot of owners going to 19" rims but people who have converted saying that it throws the ride off/causes damage to the wheel well, and that the car was intended to perform better with 18s...

With the painted refectors, can you still see the light glowing around the edges?

but it does come stock with 19's as well in europe - so I cant see it causing damage unless u go with too wide a tire or mess up your offests

i run 19's with 275 rears with no issues .

I think smoke would look good on that silver, IMHO. What do people think about clear v. smoke on an arctic white car?

Clear would look very clean, but the smoke with accent the headlights....tough call! I would like to talk with you about your ECU tune sometime!

It's more so that you see it shining through the middle, not so much the edges actually. What I did and I believe most people did was tie the bulb off the side somewhere. Or you could paint the bulb.. The latter didn't work for me at all.
