For Track application is good because there will be a constant cold air flow into the engine bay.

But for normal road use with a lot of stop start traffic not so good because C63 have a very hot engine compartment, after you stop at the traffic light and start to move again all you do is sucking the hot air in the engine bay instant of the cooler air outside.

Hot air = less performance

You guys are kidding right? We have a great ENGINEERED sealed Ram air system that directs outside cool air right to the filters. And someone is scamming two pieces of junk that takes in hot air from inside the engine compartment? (I assume) And looks like amateur s**t as well. People come on....quick screwing with things you should leave alone. Geeez what next, someone here will probably be considering a sprintbooster..oh wait that has already happened...

^^^^ Actually the AMG design is miserable. The throtle bodies are in the back instead of the front. I rather have a single big fat throtle body with some huge air filter/damn and all facing the front not like the C63.

Additionally the stock C63 air filters are too bulky and restrictrive.

Are we talking about filter placement, throttle body placement or the entire induction system design? An argument could be made why they didnt use an induction system like they put on the SLS 6.2. We would have had a higher peak horsepower but at the expense of torque down low. The manifold and induction system used on our cars was for a reason; a compromise between highest possible torque accross the widest possible RPM range and yet still have good peak HP. And this manifold necessitated throttle body placement where it is. And the filters are incorporated as compactly as possible onto the engine. And then it is fed outside (cool) ram air.
Dyno and track results shows the factory filter system doesnt seem to stop the cars from making around 600HP. What is "miserable" about that?

Really? I was amazed when I replaced my airbox tops that the filters were so..."unbulky" for the lack of a better word. They seem to get dirty more quickly than the deeper-pleated types though so I'm changing mine every 10k miles or sooner.

I believe there is some things that can make the intake much better, but it is very costly to do it right. The CF airboxes I have seen sold are a disgrace power wise vs value, and so far I've not seen much better than the stock boxes well.. that is as of now
