I don't have a ton of time to post a lot of pictures, but here's a sample of what i took. The car is stunning, amazing, scary fast, all at the same time. I've put about 580 miles on and by the time the trip is done, I should be at the end of the break in period. It's been such a struggle to not go 170mph. i've been cruising at about 90mph everywhere here and i keep getting passed. I passed a polizi doing 90 and then a few seconds later, I got passed by two BMWs doing about 140. The cop was yawning.

The car gets looks everywhere i go, and the verdict is in.... The red caliper brakes are completely bad ***. I love them. so un-Mercedes.

If you guys ever have a chance to tour the plant at Sindelfingen and the AMG plant, DO IT. it was absolutely amazing.

Ya, love the motorways--we did it in a real nice Audi diesel avant. The factory tour is a lot of fun. I particularly liked the sheetmetal stamping press area. 320 tons moves the earth when it closes.

Did you do the MB museum at the Stuttgart corp offices? That is a must see!

The 19" wheels are not included in the PPP (same with the LSD).

Thanks for the pictures, great looking car and a fantastic experience I'm sure. When you have the time please post more pictures and more stories about the exerience. I will almost certainly take delivery of my next AMG car in Europe and I'd like to know more about it.

Hey guys. Well i drove the car through the alps today - the temp was between 33 F and 40 F. It was amazing. I hit 900 miles today, so i began to lay in to the engine. I'm averaging about 16-17 MPG, which i expected, and I suspect when i start driving faster, that will drop to 13 -14. WHO THE HELL CARES WHEN YOUR CAR SOUNDS THIS F***ING GOOD!?!?!?!?!?

Geneva, Annecy, Valance, and Avignon today. Tomorrow will be Chateauneuf du pape, then Nice, and then.....i have to drop it off and not get her back for about 8 weeks. tooooooorture. here's some more pictures.

Break it in faster so that you can do 170 on the Autobahn before you ship it!
