You can use black electric tape to tape the bulbs. They're fine with the heat and don't allow light to go through. Heat is extremely helpful when you wrap some harder parts like the interior trims.

Just ordered a big roll of it to cover up random bits and pieces! As for the key fob, I have a few big scratches on the back of mine from when it fell out of my pocket when go-karting...perfect to cover it up with the 3m film. Did you just cover it up with roughly the same size and just cut out the excess?

1. Eyeball the amount / shape you need
2. Stick it on using some heat, ensuring there are no bubbles on the pertinent part
3. Score the boundary of the area you want (easy to do with our keys because there are small channels outlining the black plastic part) with your fingernail / a credit card
4. Get yourself an Xacto knife (spend the $10) and cut through the scores
5. Enjoy.
*** for the parts I've done, I've tried to cut the initial piece so that at least 1 edge is pre-straight / doesn't have to be cut (I did the part near the panic button on the key)

I just got a 4' x 4' piece of this thing and I think I bought too much! haha
Did the keys and the front amber marker lights. On Obs black, they look a little matte compared to the paint. I am tempted to spray them with clear when it gets warmer out.
I think I am going to do the outside of the grill and the chrome handle on the trunk next weekend.
I like the fact that if I don't like it, I can just peel it off.
Definitely get an Xacto knife from Micheal's or another craft store. I tried using a utility knife and scratched a little bit of the key.

I had the blue pair in for just over a month and had no issues, but I do not drive the car everyday. Interestingly, the metallic circuitry seemed to be rusting a little, but I'm not sure if that was a function of the component itself / the tiny amount of moisture that came in contact with it during installation or if it was an un-secure seal re: the enclosure. I'll re-post when the first one burns out.

Wrapped a few things up already. Did the back of my BB already; I want to do the bezel but I need to buy the screw driver to take it apart first....
I bought a 2'x4" sheet and i think I bought too much too lol. I was going to do some interior bits for my car but I think having a CF trim adjacent to my light colored wood would be sort of tacky.

Just as an FYI...the 3M CF material is great, but there's something buyers should be aware of.... The pre-applied adhesive is very strong once cured and if you do choose to someday take it off for lease return or just bored of the look, it will damage your finish. Already saw this on a few customer cars. Currently trying to source another material with the same level of quality as the 3M one, but without the pre-applied adhesive so you can have the option of using a milder spray adhesive to tailor to your own needs.

Wrapped the trunk of an M6, torn off when customer changed his mind. Wrapped roof of a SL500, same. Did some testing after that and strips paint on non-clear (like interior panel pieces), and a good chunk of the clear coat when measured with a DFT gage. We tried some careful removal with various solvents including paint thinners, goo gone, alcohol, vinegar, etc, but stuff doesn't come off easy once it bakes and cures.

we had a heat gun, but only tried it with metal pieces as we didn't want to inadvertently warp any of the plastic pieces. Not bashing the material. It's great stuff and very very easy to work with, just wanted to share a bit of warning.
Here's pics of the trunk we did.
We're going to attempt to professionally clear coat over it and see how it turns out.

I've used it a fair bit as well... it's good for exterior but don't go crazy with it. Honestly the small detailed pieces look good but large surfaces such as hoods, roofs, trunks, etc... just don't turn out good. A tasteful piece, here or there comes out nice.
Also, consider Euro-Dyne... this stuff is very nice on the interior. I've wrapped a bunch of the interior in this and I believe Azn_300 did this as well. Hows you're holding up so far? I live in Vegas so we'll know for sure at the end of summer!

Interior pieces are holding up great so far. Although I am toying with the idea of switching from the ED fabric to 3M one. Both are great stuff, but you can tell the 3M weave is of higher quality. Then again, the ED one comes off with no problem so if I ever sell, I can remove and go back to OEM aluminum.

I didn't notice any significant increase in the heat of the housing. I couldn't comment on the bulbs themselves, but there was no problem with bulb longevity or excessive heat coming from the housing.
