3M DI-NOC CF Vinyl
This stuff is actually pretty fun to work with. Bought a small piece from a web retailer & covered my OE reflectors. Just a little glow when the lights are on, and it looks pretty stellar when they're off, IMHO. The keys took about 5 minutes each to do. Super simple.

They're the error-free LEDs from eBay (around $30 per pair). I have blue in the middle and white on the outside, but they look impressively blue here for some reason. Those are the stock HIDs, so the eyelid LEDs are that color (the white ones) and slightly more blue (the blue ones).
For color reference, my avatar is the stock bulb / blue LED combo in the eyelid.
Hope that helps.

I think it's great stuff - easy to apply, good looking, and it feels pretty durable. I would definitely say get a sample (usually 1' sq.) and play around. I'm actually thinking of re-selling my (real) cf fender vent covers and spoiler and just going vinyl because you can always re-wrap if it gets dinged or bonked (technical terms).

This product is incredible. It was huge at SEMA (I had some almost a year ago). The keys were my first project too.
There is a demonstration where the sheet is crumpled up and then completely flattened by applying heat.
I was going to apply to my mirror turn signals.

This looks awesome. ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Can you give us links to where you bought this and x2 on how this sticks. It appears that you can wrap it aorund and it leaves no creases.
I would love to do my front grill with this but always wondered how to apply it.
Also, how do you remove this stuff if you end up screwing up the install or needing to redo it if it gets chipped.
Any more info would be greatly appreciated.

As far as creases - I think with a heated application you could bend it pretty much how you wanted, but I did have to do small segmented cuts under the corners of the side markers (not visible from the outside - think a luggage conveyor belt at the airport & how it has to fold when it goes around a corner).
Here we go:
The sheet of vinyl (sturdy & textured)

To be wrapped.
![](http://i50.tinypic.com/oko18p.jpg)
Step 1: from the hip shaping
![](http://i46.tinypic.com/r1dh6w.jpg)
Step 2: initial application & trimming. (the adhesive is a square pattern that has negative space - think tile floor - so air can escape as the vinyl is installed)

Step 3: refined trimming with the good old x-acto. This is really easy to do when there are seams in whatever you're applying it to.
![](http://i49.tinypic.com/2dlss3d.jpg)
Step 4: viola.
![](http://i49.tinypic.com/jfbztx.jpg)
Step 5: repeat as needed.

![](http://i50.tinypic.com/5ewri9.jpg)
Finished product.

***** One lesson learned from playing around with this is that HEAT HELPS. Immensely. I grabbed my gf's hairdryer, and even that relatively small amount of heat was incredibly helpful. Specifically, it helps the vinyl be more flexible and adhere more solidly (IMHO).
Finally, I bought mine from MetroDecals.com, but I also got a sample from OneAutosport (was lost in the mail, but they've been great about sending another out / customer service in general).
Any more questions, let me know.
