I've got the Renntech stage 2 tune, but had it installed before taking delivery of the car so I can't give a before/after dyno comparison, but based on threads I've read, I think 50 whp sounds about right for the tune. Now I need to get the additional 50 whp your LTs provide.

Really good stuff. Makes me want to say, "Fark the neighbors!"
Can you post some more data? What were the conditions for the stock dyno and for today? What correction factor was used?
You mentioned zero drone. What about at partial throttle/tip-in at low RPMs?

IMO Xpipes add drone, so if that something you want down the road maybe think about an Hpipe. RENNtech makes a nice one.

You have to cut the stock pipes before the second cats. Once cut correctly The headers will slip right on to the stock pips. At that piont you can clamp them. I recommend welding though. I was thinking about adding a small flex pipe in case the shop makes a bad cut. Most good shops have guys that can handle this job no problem.
So is it accurate to say that this set of headers deletes only the primary cats and leaves the secondary cats alone?
In your previous posts, you said that the headers go up to the stock resonator--which would mean that it takes out the secondary cats as well? Yay or nay?

Also, since I'm so on-the-fence about the loudness of the car in the video you shot, it's good to know that that car was catless...which means me keeping my secondary cats will quiet the sound a little. Yay!

That's great news, Mike! It comforts me a bit more to know that this set up only deletes the primaries, which is most likely more restrictive than the secondaries.

Looking to get these as well. Just a few questions I need answered first.
1. Was there any CEL produced?
2. If there was CEL produced, did you have to get it programmed out with the tune? Or did you just throw in the Renntech tune and bolt on the headers and everything was fine??
3. Any cutting, welding or modifying of the car, other then the exhaust to install the headers?
4. What is install time and will you be shipping to Canada?
Thanks

I was kind of hoping this was a no-cut option, so I could keep my stock exhaust intact. Any plans for a mid-pipe and I would be very interested, I guess I could also get some made with 3" piping.
BTW for Merc63, everyone will need some form of tuning to delete the O2 sensors from the primary cats, which causes the CEL.

Mike,
Great gains.. Any chance you could put the car on the lift and take a pic of the complete exhaust? This may clear up all the questions. Do you plan on doing anymore testing? Say a C63 with hi-flow cats? Just to keep things legal and all.

Mike,
A lot of guys are waiting for test information. I am not picking on you. These are questions that need to be answered in order to sell them.
What was the actual tune used? Find out for sure, its important for potential customers.
What was the A/F on the results given? That info should be on the graph.
What was the temp, humidity, and baro for the tests?
On the test mule:
Did you have any cats at any time for the stock or "tuned" tests?
What air filters were used if any?
Are the charcoal filters in?
Did it throw a trouble light with the stock and "tune"?
Did the "tune" used eliminate the trouble light?
Were the stock resonators and mufflers attached when the dyno tests were performed?
Final product:
Will eliminate the primary cats.
Will utilize the secondary cats?
Will the system come with an option of cats? What cats?
Will the system require welding and cutting the stock exhaust??
Will you eventually offer a tune to match these headers so its a tuned matched set? If not, what tuner will offer one to eliminate the cels?
I know this is a lot of questions but they are very important to potential customers. Again, congrats on your results.

Great set of questions. I was a little confused reading the posts myself.
