My discovery was the green illuminated button in the trunk that allows you to open the trunk if you somehow get stuck in the trunk. Not sure how you get stuck in the trunk unless you are intentionally put back there. So might be handy if you are in trouble with the mob.

Ok, I just looked all over for that button and can confirm that the 08s do not have it. Oh well, I guess I should be happy 08s got the folding mirrors.

Funny. I've found a few things like this too. The holding down of the lock button closes the sun roof and windows if you do it right away, the CD pauses if you have an incoming phone call, and the folding rear seats were a few month after purchase discovery. I guess I (we) should RTFM instead of twisting the key and hitting the go pedal.

There is also a compass that you can turn on through the service menu (Eng Mode) on the screen.

A cool one for me was figuring out what the black thing on the drivers side door handle was...
For all that dont know, Auto up and auto down all windows including the sunroof. Press and hold lock or unlock while point at the black thing...

It was not turned on my 09
Another thing I found was a trunk opener button on the inside of the trunk lid. If you open your trunk and look on the back side of the lid (where the license plate is mounted but from the inside) you can find a green button that opens the trunk from the inside.
Once I left my keys in the trunk of my old BMW E46, it was a PITA to get them out through the ski bag.
