Now that I've had the car for a week (almost) I am scheming.
- Tint - 35% front 18% rear - getting installed Tuesday.
- VentureSheild film - getting installed Tuesday.
- Escort 9500ci - Ordered and will get installed, probably at Benchmark Motors. Want it installed "tight". Will probably also hardwire the plug for the AUX input to a more convenient place as well as power for my Zune HD.
- Carbon fiber ///AMG shift knob from www.formymercedes.com (Figure I didn't get the carbon trim, so this will be my little sea of carbon).
- Bumper plugs for the stupid holes in the bumpers. Someone else had a special order in for Palladium silver so we both got to take advantage ($60 for 4).
- Wondering about what I should get for a custom plate. My Porsche has 083F on it (figure it out). My FJ40 has "TEQ"; TEQ looks a lot like the Kanji script for Toyota. Maybe I'll do my initials (CEK) as that's not taken, but I want something more creative...

Now, the only problem with having that plate is that you're gonna have to back it up.

very nice car. love the carbon on the rear lid. enjoy. while i dont have the big boy performance pack like you do i can tell you this car could easily be a daily driver. it will go grandpa mode (which is how i usually drive it) or ***** out.. whatever you want it to do... mine is weekends only but thats because i dont want to roll on 80 plus miles daily... ENJOY!

EDIT:
I'm an idiot. RTFM Charlie.
The after reading the instructions (duh) http://www.formymercedes.com/Shift_K...ather_Boot.asp, it's clear it will work.
However, I'm not yet convinced it will work well.
1) it may be too high (it appears to be 3/8" taller than stock).
2) the chrome dome/collar is wider than the base of the stock knob causing the boot to expand (flare) as it rises, vs taper stock.
We'll see once I figure out how to compress the 4 flanges to actually remove the old knob from the boot....
I just looked at how this knob would fit in the car.
It appears it will not work AT ALL. It screws on while the knob in our cars is attached via a plastic clip under the boot.
I have an email into the supplier to figure out what's going on as this was advertised as being for the W204.

Forgive the crappy smartphone photos. I was to lazy to get my DSLR. Also forgive the dirty interior. :-)
I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. Only someone who really knows what they are looking at would notice the shift boot is a bit goofy where it meets the knob.
I love the feel of it and this $150 item compensates for my not getting the CF interior. Haha.
By the way I was quite happy with the customer service I got from http://formymercedes.com where I bought this. I was able to email them and get prompt help.

Clear Marker lenses
I also installed my clear marker lenses which came today.
First, it took me *MAYBE* 10 minutes total. It was so brain dead simple I was shocked.
I got these lenses from http://myworld.ebay.com/goodstuffs4u0904
They were $49.94 and were advetised as "2008 2009 Mercedes W204 C Class Clear Side Marker"
As you can see they _are_ clear, not smoked. I may buy a set of smoked lenses just to see which I like better. I'm actually OK with the amber bulbs, but I would like to try the ones that don't look amber until they are lit up (can someone please point me at them on ebay?).
Before:

Next up: Tomorrow I get VentureShield trim installed and my 9500ci should show up. Lots of travel over the next few weeks so I probably won't get around to getting in for the tint or detector install for a while...

If there was some way to post pics that showed the clear bra install I'd do it.
My guy just got done putting VentureShield on my C63 and Audi Q7 and, as usual, he did a fantastic job. It's pricey getting it done right ($750) but he's a craftsman.
I had him just do from the bumper/fender cuteline forward. So the film crosses the hood right at the trailing edge of the headlights. He covers the light lenses, mirrors, behind the door handles, and on the trailing edges of the doors.
This is the 4th car I have had him do.
If you are in the Seattle area I highly recommend him:

He'll do it at your place.

And now with tint
FormulaOne by Accutint - 35% on the sides, 15% on the rear
If it's nice this weekend I plan on getting my real camera out.
Oh, and I have mentioned how much joy it gives me to just _start_ this car? The sound is magic. I like to leave the driver's door open while I start it. Heh.
