My '95 540 M-Sport had "Shadowline trim" - no chrome. I loved the look of it and it really helped set it apart from standard 540s. See the picture below.

I am considering blacking out the trim around the side windows and maybe the chrome on the trunk lid to achieve the same effect on my C63. Here's a really lame p'shop I whipped up. Has anyone seen a lighter C63 like mine where this has been done? Opinions?

Compare this to the pic I posted earlier today.

cek, I like the window tint. ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I think the black shadowline trim looks great on the BMW but I am not so sure if i like it as much on the C63. It is one of the first things I thought I wanted to do to my car when it arrives. Now that I see your photochop I am no longer so sure. Seems to be too dark and blacked out looking on the light coloured C63. The squared shape, sharper lines and black beltline trim on the Bimmer seem to lend themselves better to the shadowline trim. Maybe it is the shinny aluminum lips on the C63 wheels that seem to work well with the chrome trim around the windows on the C63. I don't know but it is not grabbing me the way I thought it would.

Photo Time
Just got back from a 2 week trip -missed my car!
Today I took some photos. They turned out OK. I was rushed and I could not find my circular polarizing filter. Not super happy with the results, but they will do for a while.

I previously really liked the red brake calipers and I was considering painting mine red (I don't have the P31 pkg). However, after looking at these nice pics I realized that the red calipers detract from the car. They pull my eyes away from the car and I focus on the red calipers. Hmmm, maybe I'll stick with my silver ones.
Nice pics and post.

What are the 2010's going for these days? I bought mine in Aug 2009 and the dealers were practically giving them away.

it's same as the M3 stock at around 58,000...but fully loaded you're nearly doubling that...definitely worth it though
...Check mine out..just got it shipped in last week !

I made sure to explicitly tell the my dealership NOT to drill or mount the license plate bracket...
That shift knob would look good against the Carbon Fiber interior

real nice one. never seen pics of the new performance pack. I wonder if you can feel the difference from 450hp-487hp.
Guys, do you think it will generate more power when tuned compared to the standard one ? Or 510-530 is pretty much the limit for ecu tune even with performance pack ?

I'm Free!
I'm Free! I hit 1000 miles today. I've been disciplined about obeying the break-in rules and today I was set free!
All I can say is WOW. I. Love. This. Car.

I leave for Europe tomorrow so was busy all day playing with the family (took my son shooting, heh).
Did I see you getting on I90 at Eastgate at about 10:45am? There was a steel gray C63 right ahead of me; I was heading to the range so wasn't getting on the freeway but was tempted to follow :-).
I'll be back late April... I plan on hitting the dyno then to get a baseline.

I imagine we can get a group together for another dyno day @ the end of April. We get a discounted rate if we bring 5-cars.
Have fun in Europe!
