I guess....if you have a money tree in the back yard. I would rather nobody know what I have as I leave them in my wake with a puzzled look on their face.

It´s truth that´s expensive, but I wanted to share with you the good experience that I am having with these kit. I read a lot of this brand (Brabus) and for me it´s amazing the tech and knowlige that they have.
I will post pics of the entire car in a few days.

If you google the part number the brabus catalogue will come up. The b63s package 204-773-00 is listed for 8920 euros. Thats about 12 USD. If a shop in the states wants to charge 18000 that is insane. With 18k I could fly to germany, pick up the the kit, send it back home and have change left over. Plus you can visit Amg and drink good beer while you're there.

You're absolutely right.... for some reason, here in the U.S. all of the Brabus stuff is just way too expensive. I take it since they don't sell that many units, they make up the difference in the very few units they do sell.

By the way, that was not just a shop I called.... Brabus has only two tuning centers to distribute their products in the U.S.: one in Southern California and the other is in Florida. The one in California used to charge about $18k but apparently they have now dropped the price to $14k (not including installation, taxes, etc...) of course .

That´s right, But for reasons that I don´t know, the price that Brabus dealers give to the customers are between 17,500 and 20,000 U$ depending the country. Last week I ask the price to the US distribuitor and he sent me an email with the price of almost 19.000 U$. When I read the replies to my post I ask again and the price continue the same. In my case I bought it to the Mercedes dealer, so I pay the "warranty", because I prefer to pay a little more, but maintaining the factory and the Brabus warranty. If I import my self the kit (or another brand kit) I loose my Mercedes Warranty. So, for me is more relevant pay a little more but knowing that I have all the support and warrantys for 2 years. Considering that the same dealers represents both brands, Mercedes and Brabus.
For another part, Brabus uses high prices in every thing they sold. The price of the Brabus Bullit or the Brabus Rocket are insane !!!.
Anyway and beside the price I am very impress with the improve of my car with this kit. The car has a complete different driving performance, not only because is faster, the torque is amazing.

You guys in the US are fortunate to have other options at competitive prices. Many of us in other parts of the world pay big dollars in comparison even for alternatives.

You are also enthusiasts that in most cases know what you’re looking for and trying to achieve out of your cars.

The Brabus may not sound good value to you but it’s not so bad for others. For the average Mercedes purchaser it’s such an iconic brand and there is no doubt it gets the job done and therefore its increased value in resale and the pure prestige of ownership alone (head turner) is well worth it.

Great job, it enhances the car beautifully, it’s subtle and retains the good lines of the OEM C63. We could argue about price but I can’t think of one negative about it.

The bottom line is that in America these cars are relatively cheap to other parts of the world. You hear about these country's where a car in America is $60K but in another country them same car is $300K. It's crazy what you hear some of these people have to pay for a car, I find it so hard to actually believe.

Bottom line is that if you are paying $300K for a car, what's $18K mean? It's not that expensive at the end of the day. We are spoiled in the U.S.

In regards to the previous two posters I get what they are saying. Brabus has a 4.0 kit for the C350 and for the U.S. market I have no idea who would ever buy it when you can upgrade to the C63 for the same cost and still get a way better car overall. Then you have to consider that in other countries the jump from a regular C class to an AMG is much greater than here in the U.S. and that's why Brabus kits make more sense and we in the U.S. are not their target market.

well the 300k example u quoted is in singapore

we have something called COE (certificate of entitlement) which is only valid for 10 years before we have to get another one (meaning more cash $$$$$$$$$$) Every COE costs different amounts depending on the number of bids in that month. you may not even get it sometimes.

currently the COE is hovering around 30k USD. That added with 300% taxes increase the c63's price here to around 300k USD.

furthermore, our insurance costs around 5k USD per year? roadtax is according to displacement and thus a c63 is around 4-5k USD as well.

our petrol is more expensive than yours as well so you can imagine

but funny enough the GTR only costs around 200++K SGD here.

our depreciation is much much much greater too. A one year old car can expect to lose 20k USD or so in the first year alone.
