Forgestar Wheels

265/30/19 are nearly impossible to find for a decent price. What I had found was that I would need to go 265/35/19. However how much better is a tire with a larger diameter VS a wider diameter 265/35/19 vs 275/30/19 (the later having the same diameter has the stock pzeros.)

All F14's will not be shipped for atleast another 6 weeks or so, and even if you haven't ordered your yet, I believe only the brushed titanium is the only one that isn't already pre-sold from this container. So if you'd like to wait for the matte black, piano black, gold or gunmetal you will be waiting well over 12 weeks I would say.
So if you'd like your set by summers end, you should order now as the next container is selling quickly.
Let us know, as we are a forgestar dealer.

Only the F05's in 19" will be shipped in a decent time as the blanks are in stock.

I guess with forgestar you get what you pay for. The wheels do look good, if you ever get 'em. I guess I'll have to pay up after all to get some good rims.
You think forgestar would have some popular set ups ready to go. There aren't that many configurations...

I'm amazed that forgestar can continue to sell these wheels with such delays. Do they know how to run a business??? What happens if you get the wrong offset, color, or there's a problem with your wheel? What...wait another 12 weeks? Seriously? No way I can wait 12 weeks; I'll send you a PM James, btw you've been great to work with, obviously not your fault.

C63 owners beware...Forgestar makes good quality wheels , but hey are wrong on their offsets for the C63. I bought the F14s in their supposed proprer offset and had to add 3mm spacers up front to avoid rubbing on my coilover adjustment collars and had to have 3 - 4 mm machined off the rears to fit without rubbing. I'll be happy to share my entire experience with any member interested. I'm not trying to bash a supplier, but was told by Forgestar that it was my issue since I chose to run 275 in back rather than 265s. BTW, this is a joke since the 275 is stretched on a 10" rim as it is.

qship...dont know if you saw my post or not, considering it was the last one on page 2, but ill try again, worded slightly differently now:
i have a question regarding your suspension setup....are you dropped all the way down the spring on both the front and rear? ....
im trying to figure out what setup i am going to go w/ based on your drop, cuz i think its perfect....if you are no longer rubbing by adding spacers for the front and shaving 3-4mm off the rear, what does that make your final offsets?
or would you now recommend going 19x9.5 +50 instead of 19x10?

After doing some measurements and a lot of thinking, here are my conclusions that I would like to share with you:
Forgestar cannot make wheels with an offset as aggressive as the stock ones. I’d say there is around an extra inch on the inside of the rear wheel and more room on the outside. The 275 tires are 1cm wider on each side. With the stock suspension, no problem. With a lowered suspension, there is very little space on the inside so it doesn’t work. I realized that this is what they mean when they say their setup is optimized for lowered cars. A less aggressive offset gives the inside enough clearance.
On the other hand, going for a 10” wheel is doable for 265, but doesn’t make much sense. It should be rather 9” or 9.5” max.
A very important thing to consider is the amount of drop you will be putting. Taking into account that the stock suspension should not rub on 275 with the F14 (am I correct?), how much drop can you put before it starts to rub?
With the KW V3, the possible drop is as follows: 0-2.1” in the front and 0-1.2” in the back. I estimate that the max amount of drop you can put without rubbing (using the stiffest damper settings for both low and high speed) is between 0.5” and 0.75” in the back.
What I plan to do is have the shop install the rear wheels with the stock suspension first and make an assessment of the available room all around. The C63 is already lowered and I don’t think it can take an extra 1.2 inch of drop in the back without some serious fender work.
That being said, if anyone has tried different heights and could let us know what are the optimal settings that would greatly help! If not I’ll be the one to post it early April when I get the wheels and suspension installed.
I think in the end, the compromise will be less drop for more tire grip (wider tire), which I think for our car is the right choice.
New addition: For people using the KW V3, since the drop in the back cannot be adjusted (like in the front), the only solution will be to get the spring decompressed before install so you have a bit less drop.
Take care

The wide range of available offsets and widths for the 18" F14s should provide more favorable results. I'll likely be the first C63 w/ 18" F14s in a week or so.

Great question!!!
Sorry to dig up an old thread fellas but I'm interested in buying a set of 19" F14's and I'd like some assistance if possible since I'll be importing these to Australia and I need to make an informed decision based on your feedback.
Firstly, I'm not dropping my car - I'll be leaving it at stock height. A lot of you blokes seem like you've dropped your cars and are experiencing problems but what about these wheels on stock suspension?
Should I be able to run 275's without rubbing @ stock height?
Some of you have mentioned having to install spacers at the front for rubbing - is this because you've dropped your cars? Will I have this problem with stock suspension?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can run 275s with stock suspension...stock 19" wheels or aftermarket with the right offset. Most of us have 275s in fact, only 285s that work are certain nittos since they run narrow

I think the maximum offset at the rear for the F14's is 50mm?

Not the best pictures, but this is the 2009 C63 w/ 19" Forgestars on 245/35-19 & 275/30-19 Vredestein UltraC Sessanta's (stock suspension). So far the rear tires are about 6K miles and are getting slim (~25%), but I drive very aggressively. The fronts are ~50% wear.
I only get rubbing when there are heavy passengers in the rear.
FWIW, I'm a dealer and I can usually get these wheels in only 3 weeks.

gyrex, i highly recommend the h&r 1inch drop springs, it will make the car sit and look so much better with 19s, ive 265s on the rear with no rubbing. i wouldnt go 275 but thats just personally. i honestly dont believe we need that wide of a rubber. my car hooks up very well with the 255s i have on the rear and i have ****ty kumhos on the rear. also dont order any wheels until next yr, coming up to christmas, you know how most businesses close.

I think I'd like a more agressive stance at the front... What offsets are you running? Have you got any more photos you could share?

I'm pretty keen to start the process on ordering these wheels mate. I think I'm going to place an order today... Can't wait to see what these F14's look like on my car! I'm in 2 minds over the colour though. It's a toss up between brushed titanium or gunmetal...

I dont think i could've have gotten away with a 1 inch drop and still drive around aggressively....
I put some 10mm spacers on the front to just chub out the stance....i didnt have any clearance problems before the spacers

I have a P30 car which sits just a little lower than a stock car. I was going to lower the car. I even bought a set of H&R's but after mounting the wheels and letting the suspension settle, i could barely get a finger between the fender and the tire, so i ended up selling the springs in the forum....

Love the stance at the front. Do you know what your original offsets were?

Thanks....they are custom panted....they were flat black when i got them but i painted them a colour called "LIQUID METAL"
It's similar to the colour of Nissan GT-R wheels

The rears are 19x10 with 50 ET offset.....not sure about the fronts but they are the same offset and size that everyone else is running....i just added some 10mm spacers to bump them out...i dont thnk you could do that if your car was lowered
