Grippiest Tires for C63
I know there has been a lot of tire discussion here, but I am interested specifically in a high end grippy summer tire.
I dont care about wet traction, as i never take this car out in the rain. So the only thing that matters to me is a tire that wont spin out like the stock tires that seem to be made out of butter. How long it lasts is of some importance, but obviously if the tire is grippy it wont spin as much which means less wear/longer lasting.
So aside from a drag radial...whats my next best bet for a street tire?

Depending on what size you are looking for I suggest the Pirelli PZero Corsas DOT R compound. Lot of us Black Series guys have tested other tires but most of them have all gone back to the Corsas. They are a little expensive but well worth it IMO

If you are a drag racer the Pirellis are great, you can air them down to about 18 psi do a nice burnout and have a great hook-up, you should be able to lay down consistant 1.7-1.8 60ft's on these tires, they are sticky.

the nittos and cheap tires lasted me 10k say (lasted longer but just saying)
now 5 set in 18k thats changing them every 3600 mils sometimes less.

Like Eugene said, Bridgestone RE11, Nitto NT05, and Dunlop Direzza Star Spec are all great tires for pretty good prices. Close to R compound grip with a little more tread life, not a lot more but definitely more.

I have Nitto 555's also with 6k+ miles on them and they still have plenty of tread left. They are a decent autocross / road course tire (drifting also if your into that) and good for around town. My only complaints are they ride a little bit rough compaired to the OEM Pirelli Pzero's and wet traction is really bad in the rear.

Those must have been Extreme ZR model
Which have 300 treadwear
The RII have only 100 treadwear

Believe it or not I have been running the Nitto 555R drag radials also and I'm getting the most mileage from them. I assume its because they don't spin as easy therefore using up less tire. They are great tires and have lasted me many trips to the strip(11.24 @ 124mpg) and they are my DD tire. I will definitely put them back on when these are gone.
