^^ Well, don't get too excited.. I purchased a brand new C6 Z06 in 08 then I did some mods and ended regreting, I hated the car for some things. Here is some info you want to know about my C6 Z06:

baseline 457whp/427lb-ft on a Dyno jet on 91oct stock
added LG headers, Killer bee air intake, stage III heads, QM 600 cams, ported Throtle bodyand ported Intake manifold and off course a tune and got 558whp/510lb-tq

Car ran a 12.0@122 bone stock at SIR(Tucson 3100ft), I ran a 13.1@109 with the bone stock C63(with just K&N filters) at SIR 3100ft.

My suggestion is to look at the car as a whole package, price, quality, fit, equipment, customer service, looks, performance, gas mileage, insurance, etc
I had to let go the Z06 because the 3 gear was grinding badly and after 4 trips to the dealer no one took care of me. Everytime I took the car to the dealer they will give me an excuse like"we couldn't find anything wrong with the car", I was fee up and at 11000 miles I had to let it go.
I also had the dealer replace the alternator and also 3 times the rear sway bar end links(each trip cost me a day of hassle and no car and the dealer never provided me with a courtesy car), they will never wash my car either.

During the 4 visits to the dealer in which I had to let the car all day the dealer never offered me a courtesy car, my Z06 MSRP was $77790, don't you think that someone that spends close to that money on a new car deserves at least a courtesy car for the inconvenience of not having a ride?

On a different note, every time I took my car(C63 AMG) to the Mercedes dealer for minor things I always got a courtesy car and my car was always washed.

I know hate GM and I wish them to go down to hell. I am done with them for a while. The C63 is nicely finished and with a $12000 disccount my new C63 AMG was a bargain. I ended with a fairly loaded C63, I also saved another $1000 in registration fees due to military disccount(lieu tax form/out of state resident) and additionally got a tint window job. The Z06 looks nice but you will get frustrated with the traction issues or like the poor quality of the seats.

The Z06 front seats are garbage, the best way to describe them is when I use to watch the fagget David Haasseloff (Michael Knight) jumping a building with his ugly a$s Trans -Am and watching the front seats upper back woobling like crazy.. like I said, the C6 Z06 seats are garbage for a $77,790 car. Also, the seat surface is not full leather, it is like vinyl and ugly soft leather.

I rather see you with a C63 a M3 or S4 or even a Cadillac CTS-v with the Recaro package and auto transmission(stay away from the garbage TR6060).

###Please , everyone, go to youtube and type either fagget or michael Hasselhoff and you will see the videos of him jumping with his car of cliffs, buildings , etc and you will see the seats bouncing..#### http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pGgU...eature=related

HAHAHAHA...That is the best review ever. Trust me, I've always thought vettes are junk. I was a blue ovaler when I was younger. The Z0 would be bought to be a track/street car. Goodbye front seats hello Sparco's...With LG motorsports 10 miles from my office it's tempting for a year or 2 til MB decides what they are doing with their AMG's...OH and it would not be bought new. I have no need to pay that much just to void my warranty the next day

OH I forgot to put my first choice of next cars...Rossion Q1

And I'm done Hijacking...

Well, if you live 10 miles from LG Motorsports then you must know of Quality Motorsports in Lewisville,TX . That is where I took my car for the work.

My word of advise stay away from those crooks, they "destroyed" my Z06. My motor was leaking oil everywhere, from the valve covers, from the plate that holds the water pump and seals the cam.

The suckers never aligned my hood properly so I had to pay the dealer to properly allign the hood. Quality Motorsports has the habit of removing the hoods whenever they do cams on a Vette.

Another issue with the vette (C6 Z06) is the infamous clutch fluid contamination. The throw out bearing allows the fluids to pass and it gets contamintaed too fast(it gets black), this causes the clutch pedal to not fully engaged. The fix is to buy a thnaks giving turkey syringe and suck the balck contaminated fluid out and pump the gas pedal like 30-40 times and repeat this operation a few times until the fluid recycles and turns "goldish".

My C63 is like silk, the engine and transmission shift smoothly something that I strugle on the Z06. The Z06 is too loud, there is drone and the center tunnel where the center console/compartment is gets hot as hell for the lack of insulation. The cabin inside is freakin loud, the cheap a$$ Goodyear Eagle F1 supercar are noisy on the road and the feel of the road is not good becasue of the run flat tires.

The Z06 has tons of torque and you can drive in traffic in 6th gear at 40mph at 1000rpm and the car will pull fine but it is the lack of refinement what it bother me.

oooo SIR is so slow. i bet the DA was 6500 that day. Actually, my friend was done there and said there was a C6 Z06 at the track running about that time and trap...and the DA was well over 5500, possibly 6000. i was so disappointed when i ran down there stock and could only muster a 14.1 at like 99.

So I think I am going to go with the MHP long tube headers. Does anyone know if my Kleeman tune will work with the MHP headers or will I have to buy MHP tune also?

all he needs is a set of drag radials and he needs to learn how to launch the car correctly and he will be in good shape, and long tube headers won't hurt either.

Track get some m/t's heat them up for 5 sec after u see smoke coming out of rear tires. once at the tree STOMP that gas pedal as hard as u can and you flyyyy.
Don't power brake tomuch. Best times are from the least power brake. 700-900. Under 1000rmp is key. Tire pressure around 20psi
Ps kleeman tune does work with MHP headers but for most power I would get the MHP tune also.(i think you need a special k2 tune for it.) If u buy headers alone it's going to cost u a nice penny, if u buy tune/headers special u come out savin a good amount.

it's a matter of test and tune, go to the track and practice, practice, practice, lower the tire pressure on the drag radials , heat the tires up a bit, launch the car starting around 1400 rpms and go from there, if it hooks your good, if it spins back out a bit, just remember it's all about the 60ft at the track, but keep on practicing.....
