Roll cage in a C.....REALLY????

It is a nice well built cage. For me it would be impossible to even consider putting a cage like that considering I have a physically handicap son and a baby but for someone that don't have to ride with people I can see it feasible.
I though, think that a C63 is not the type of car I would do a cage, it is "too nice" of a car to do such thing

I do not find it unusual that serious performance people would choose this car to modify for dedicated track or strip use over time. A mod here a mod there and the next thing you know you have a dedicated performance machine. It is necessary if you wish to proceed to the next level.
The C63 is not just another pretty face.

Do you find it surprising, shocking or sacrilegious to put a dedicated roll cage (bar) in a c63? I would guess not from your post.

The roll bar added 51# with the drivers door bar. Since it only takes about 10 minutes to remove the passenger seat we do that now which brings the weight gain back to zero.

It's right next to my house and it's cheap. My favorite track is Infineon and NASA only goes out there every couple of months and they don't do Laguna Seca anymore. I don't compete or take it too serious like alot of others do, I just go to have fun. Plus it's a 60 second drift fest

Honestly, we were just showing off the roll bar. Getting the car ready to run some faster times.

All the right kinds of retarded. I love it!
Although without A pillar bars/windhshield frame/roof diagonal it's a roll hoop and not a cage. But still, a very cool one in a very cool car.

I believe this may void your warranty. LOL! I would love to see the look on a MB service guy if you pulled up to the service drive with the windows down. Looks good Daddy O!

And you expect every other thing he has in his car did not void his warranty yet?

Why would you assume it won't pass tarck inspections? We've been to numerous 1/4 and 1/8 mile drag tracks, numerous road courses and multiple standing 1 mile top speed events and passed through tech everytime...... It is a full welded chromoly 6 point bolt in cage that was cutom built for the car by a local race shop that builds everything from roll cages to complete race cars on a daily basis, so why you don't think it will pass inspection is beyond me, so please enlighten us......

Sorry. Didn't mean to imply this specific cage wouldn't pass tech. I'm just having a problem finding a shop to build me a cage to be approved for sub 11.5. What I meant to ask was if anyone in the Seattle area could build a cage to spec. The tracks here are strict, even on rentals. I need something now so I can keep running. If the shop that built this cage can do another one, and ship to me to have installed, let me know. Thanks!
whats the fastest your car ran so far?
very nice mod list you got there.
