Thank you for another great review and performance evaluation. I will never get a chance to do anything like these detailed reviews locally. I really appreciate the time, money, risk and thought that you invest into your car and more importantly for taking the time and effort to post them here for the forum's benefit.

Kudos to you!

Based on the chart you have losses in HP and torque up to 5300 rpm , or so, and gains there after. Seems to me the losses are in the range you would normally, every day type driving, want the additional power. Just by eyeballing the curves the resultant differential area under the curves would leave you with a net overall loss. Not trying to be all negative, just what I see based on the info provided. Guess would be a good senerio for a car being drag raced but not so much for a daily driver. Just my opinion, remember how much you paid for it, that's what it's worth.

Those curves don't crossover at 5300rpm, they just happen to meet at that point in the graph.

Just comparing the dyno results for before and after torque and HP. The individual posted gains at one point, max recorded RPM, don't quantify overall performance. I might consider what type of result I was looking for based on the type of driving anticipated, etc. Overall performance can be thought of as the area under these curves and the difference between the before and after areas woud be the net loss or gain, as the case might be. Looks, in this case, you get either a bit more torque or HP but at the cost to the other. So, this information is informative and provides insight as to actual performance and wether it meet your individual needs. Entirely dependant on what those needs might be.

Raygt3, you are not reading the dyno graph right. There is never a loss.

The blue line (top) is the after pull. The red line (bottom) is the before pull.

It's both and we have about 25 of these on cars in the Middle East right now. So far we haven't seen any issues.

Excellent review Superlubricity! We installed the Evosport pulley also a couple of weeks back, but the local dyno has been down, so an accurate before/after test is off... But the pulley really works as the car feels faster!

Thanks, Rob.

Looks like some of the images aren't showing up. Google's Picasa image site is currently down.

Hopefully they'll be back up soon.

Great work super.

This mod just moved to the top of my list.

Keep us posted if you encounter any electrical problems.

Super,

Was an ECU flash done with this mod? I'm assuming No?

If not, Have you thought about sending in your ECU to Kleeman to
maximize the gains?

No additional tuning was done or needed for this modification. I won't touch the ECU again until I start tinkering with things that significantly change the A/F ratio (I.e. yanking the primary cats, adding a blower, etc.)

Superlubricity - your technical threads are logical in their construction and thoughtful in their execution. Wish more would follow your lead - would be a worthwhile template for others to consider when documenting the efficacy of their modifications.

Glad to see this gave you solid results; look forward to reading about whatever you pursue next.

Nice try, sneaking that in there like that.

"Tinkering with things like adding a blower". Understatement of the year, no?

(Sent from Den Haag Netherlands where I've seen one CLS 63 but no C63s yet)

Quick question fellas...If you have a tune before installing the pulley, would you need a refalsh afterwards?

LOL, that was just hypothetical . . . but I can promise you, if a kit does come out, I'll get one and I'll dyno it.

Enjoying Europe?
