I guess you missed my point about buying a used car with high mileage...60k mi. on the car's odometer to start with would be just plain stupid for a guy like me who drives 25-30k mi./yr. for work.

Now, it might be okay for a guy who just uses the car to go get groceries @ Publix and just cruise around on the weekends, but not so good when you're more than halfway to 100,000 mi. from day 1.

btw -- thanks for the info on the Chase used car interest rates...going to check that out as we're getting ready to buy out my wife's '08 GL450 w/ 37k mi. on it.

I think what mthis is trying to say about the GTR is that he wouldn't pay $80K for a "nissan". The same would apply to me. Although I would like to give credit to Nissan for making a car that's $80K AND can give a lot of the exotic cars a run for their money. What it pretty much comes down to is brand value, which is why the GTR is more suitible for real "car enthusiast". However, dunno when mthis bought his car, I remember when I was car shopping the GTRs were at $120K. To me that's even more not justifiable, because I'm paying $120K and it's still only a Nissan, and the car is going to be my DD. I don't track my car, so there's not reason to buy the GTR. That's just my take on things.
