I just got mine via UPS. Thanks, Dave, for doing that for only $8 more.

I actually found once I had removed the screws the console was on very tight and took some doing to get to release to pull off center pillar. Then to realign properly with rear vents and make fit snug was simply more than I expected. Just took a lot longer than I thought and was more work than I would have anticipated for replacing the top of a console. Nothing technical, just time consuming.

Now I don't know whether you're messing with me for messing with you.
No, it hasn't arrived yet. I was just trying to incite a riot as I'm sure everyone getting one of your consoles would have gladly paid the extra $8. I didn't get the response I was looking for.
Still chompin' at the bit.

Guys, just did check. Almost all of the consoles are now in US and have cleared or are been cleared by US customs. Man, 4 days to clear through customs...glad to see Fed gov't is still as efficient as always. Some have reached the local sorting stations. So most should arrive early next week.

The eagle has landed! Thanks Dave. And I'm not kidding this time. Part has arrived in Huntington Beach just moments ago! Gotta install right now.

VERY SLOW! I had an intake shipped (for other vehicle) from Vancouver, Canada last Wednesday and it arrived yesterday (Wednesday). Keep in mind that Vancouver is only a 2:49 flight to Vegas.

Install complete. Very easy, with one caveat. The wire harness that goes from the selector knob to the connector at the front left of the shifter assembly is a bit of a bear. This is because it's held down to the floorboard tunnel by a metal clip. You NEED to pull back the rear piece of carpeting at the left side of the trans tunnel to access the clip and wrestle the harness free. The harness is also looped (for what reason I do not know) around a plastic tab almost directly underneath the selector knob. Once you break (figuratively speaking) the harness free from from both places, the install is a breeze. As far as I can tell, you cannot force the selector knob through the old console without risking damage to it. You need to disconnect the harness from the connector and pull the switch and its attached harness out before the console is entirely free. However, the console does need to be unscrewed and disengaged from its base before you can access the tab under the selector knob that the harness is wrapped around. All in all not a difficult install. But the wire harness is a very small guage wire and very fragile. If you f with it too much you WILL break a wire and be on your way to solderville or the MB parts department for a very expensive knob assembly. Unfortunately, the harness does not, as far as I can tell without dismantling the knob/switch, disconnect from it. Looks GREAT. Thanks to Dave for making it all happen. I now need the rubber base at the bottom!
I will install these for anyone willing to drive to me (Huntington Beach, CA) in exchange for a case of Newcastle! Beats dealer pricing.

And as for the rubber mat, I really think the 2010 E63 has the same console and I'm checking out right now what the price and availability is.

almost got it completely installed, ran into a road block when my screwdriver wouldn't reach screws under the knob controller, i'm assuming i need to remove them all in order to get the knob off safely without ripping wires? buying/looking for new screwdriver tomorrow, ran out of daylight ;[ worst part of install for me was getting the silver around shifter off as well as the wood trim, almost there, cars in pieces, will finish tomorrow
*update, found a screwdriver that should reach ;D
