Looks amazing - how about a similar power-bulge hood for E-Class coupe and sedan?

Great job! Thanks for stepping up. 1500 isn't exactly a steal but if its an OEM like quality piece it may be worth it. Just a few questions. How is fitment? Any modding necessary to install? At what speed has this been test so far (assuming it's the oem latches from the pics)? My last question is the most important to me as I have seen after-market hoods swing up and hit/crack the windshield at high speeds. Thanks!

I am sending an email to Revozport to make sure what speeds they have tested the hood up to. I'm sure the hood mounts in the same factory locations but it's always best get it directly from the horse's mouth

I should have a lot more information for you guys tomorrow.

Stay tuned

wow that looks sweeet
If the fit and finish is spot on, I agree it's a great price--considering MB charges us $2500 for a few slivers of the stuff

Not just you. It's 3 different finishes on just the front end alone but, to make things fair they only took photos to show off the hood shape, fitment, and quality which seems to be pretty damn good to me. Try to ignore the rest of the car. No offence to the owner.

Again, to the OP, please get back to me with any speed test feedback. This is my main concern. Otherwise I am sold.

A vented design like this would be nice, it's already cf to start with. Would be nice to see under the hood to see how the water drains..looks like it might almost fit the c63.

Click on global, then click "the elements", then click on hd for hood.

The front grill is matte carbon. This hood is available in matte or gloss carbon as well.

As you can see the underside of the hood is not carbon but it can be made that way.

Their response to the hood holding up at high speeds is that they have never had a hood have any issues at all at high speeds that they know of. They have been making carbon hoods for many years with out an problems thus far.

Their response to lighter shock mounts is that they do not supply them but they have been looking for some. They are currently running the OE shock mounts for now and haven't ran into any issues to date. the only thing you might notice is when opening the hood, you might feel the hood going up much quicker than the metal hood, that being of course the hood is just 1/2 the weight of the original one. But no, it’ll not affect the hood in anyways BECAUSE it is double hydraulic arm.

Let me know guys if you need more info.

Yes
How can you guys say this is a good price? Im not threadcrapping, because it does look like a top quality piece, but you guys do realize that the nicest CF hoods for other cars are 1/3rd the price, if that? Looks to me to be another example of manufacturers/vendors exploiting the fact that their part has a mercedes logo on it. If that was an H or A on that hood it would be a fraction of the cost...same materials, same craftsmanship I'm sure.

Having said that, utilizing OEM hardware is top notch and the fitment looks great.

Vorsteiner CF hoods for the M3 are about 1500, and they don't even fit right. Not sure what "other" cars you were referring to, but unless you drive a civic type car, expect to pay 1500+

Can you name these other brands that even make a carbon hood for a C63?

Depending on the type of Vorsteiner hood they can reach over 2k for the M3 and their front lip spoilers are like $1700... now that is expensive. Revozports M3 Front Lip in carbon is $800 and fits like a glove.

It looks like a beautiful product. I have a bunch of their stuff and the quality is top notch. Think the price is reasonable - especially compared to the utterly outrageous prices MB charges for CF.

Good job Ken

Quality looks great and the price seems fair but I am still waiting for a design that I have heard MANY members reference. That would be with EXTRACTION vents designed into the mold not a cheap looking rectangular vent that looks like a hole was cut into the hood to insert. These should be located similiar to the SL65(not the fake ones near the front but the functioning ones nearer the windshield. This motor changes personality with higher temps and no one has really addressed the issue.
