i guess this kind of stuff matters to kids, but us adults know how to deal with it. Ever heard of "Sticks and Stones?" And no, it's not Mick Jagger's first band.

Also, as others have pointed out, it's a stale thread that is not a one-sided talking of smack as you claim.

 

Those guys are idiots, there is no comparison between a Mercedes and a Chevy. On any level.

And besides...how often do we compare our cars to cars that are "above" us...For instance, I've seen some C63 vs. Gallardo SEs, or 911 Turbos, or ???.

Sounds like the Chevy thread OP was asking for some advice.

Most of the Chevy guys had the right response, too...the cars aren't in the same class (coupe vs. sedan, $35-40K vs. $65K, etc.),....the only thing I saw (which we do sometime), is the guy that said, "depending on the driver, the SS can win"...I think that goes for any car comparison out there.

Anyway, current body Camaros (SS2 esp.), is a very eye-catching and attractive car. Hell, they made a cool transformer out of it (better that than a VW Bug).

There's no doubt, a C63 has a lot of things the SS doesn't, and the other way around isn't true...but it is a nice machine, and has some serious capability (esp. at the price).

 

There will always be comparisons of sports cars whether it makes sense or not. Most of the comments on their site was actually fair and unbiased and there were only a few idiotic comments. We have our own losers on this forum as well.
