Wow, good job....i'd like to learn how to do that instead of spasing out when the rear comes round. I love sliding but always afraid of going too far and not be able to catch it up. Makes for some pretty jerky reactions.
Hey your C must be the new "Smokless" variety...LOL

I don't think you could call this drifting to be honest - this is more like sliding on a big empty airfield... I think sliding evolves into drifting when you go around corners
Here is a friend of mine with whom I practice quite often on the track. The moron hasn't taken any video of me but believe me people are quite shocked when they see a black estate drifting on the racetrack
(Please disregard the ****ty music in the background)

Nice action, but can your friend do that up the ramps of multistory parking facilities?

Hahaha you've seen Tokyo Drift too many times
I know it's not pro-drifting but you've got to give him credit for his skills The M3 is almost stock BTW - just ECU flash and Titanium KKS Exhaust. No LSD etc.
If I ever be able to do this, I'll definitely post a video for you

If you look closely at some of the pics you can see the cones setup. Its a fully credited drift practice at the track every Thursday night. That was my second time there. They had the cones setup in a backwards R formation. I can't remember the specific name for the formation, but they change it every Thursday night almost.
Its kinda hard to push it too much as you don't want your 80+K car going into a cone or off the track.
The first big corner you go into it at around 85-100Km/h so the potential for disaster is there lol. Missed a cone by under a foot on the last lap.

Yep tires go quick on this thing for sure. The best ones I have found to last the longest are the Nexen 3000. They are pretty cheap, have a 340 tread wear rating and pretty deep tread pattern. After a 2-3 hr session at the drift practice there was half the tread left. That included a couple huge burnouts too.

Skills? Its a still image. For all you know he was about to hit a brick wall.
I give him credit for the helmet. Also for getting out there and doing what I should be doing with my C63, pushing it to its limits.
Me on the other hand im sitting at red lights with a suit and tie on looking for a free moment to open her up which is quite rare in NYC.
Bravo Merc! I wish I had the time..
