Yea that was mine you saw at Star Motors, what color is yours?

As far as the roof , it's probably the easiest piece since it is flat.

1. Pull straight up on the roof trim, I started at the bottom by the windshield and hood and work slowly back. No glue just clips.

2. Pull weather strip out from top of windshield.

3. Take out rear dome light ( just pull and pry carefully but hard), unclip electrical connector to remove light. This lets you unscrew the radio antenna to loosen it from the roof. It doesn't fully disconnect (easily) so i just cut a " + " shape in the vinyl and slid the antenna through the hole.

4. Make sure sunroof is closed and that "thing" pops up when the roof is open must be held down by someone or heavy duty tape.

5 Flatten the vinyl away

As for doing another car... not likely lol. My hands were raw, but i liked using them instead of squeegees since I got to feel out the curves.

Absolutely incredible.....good thing you started with a black car too, this way you could avoid doing the all the jams

Awesome...awesome....awesome work!

Looks like you could have yourself a nice little side business...all cash

THIS LOOKS INCREDIBLE. That is EXACTLY how I want my car to look when I get it in August. Wow.

looks really good, but I can't imagine trying to do that to my car
You should paint the badges, at least the 63 in red like another member did before (I forgot who) but it looked really good.

If you weren't getting looks before, you sure will now

The pillars weren't difficult since they are narrow and wrinkles could be easily stretched.

And yes the bumper was the most time consuming and difficult since alot of prep.

If you or anyone wants a diy for how to take apart anything to prep for wrapping let me know.

How hard is it to take the vinyl off in the future? For example if you wanted to put a new piece on because of rock damage.

I wouldn't know yet since I haven't tried but I read that this one is easier to remove than most.

give it a little bit of heat (hair dryer), you can peel it off quite easy.

Mine is white, picked it up end of May. Props for the great job & the ***** to do it on a brand new car!!

I'll PM you my phone number... we had a lil meet at my house 2 week-end ago with 2 other C63... you should join next time.

And think about my offer about doing my roof... I could get the material... just need someone experienced to install it (for cash, of course).

Kudos! Well done and looks great in the pics.

Very brave of you to tackle this job without experience.

Window trim is fairly easy to take off.

to remove the trim underneath the window:

1. take off side mirror- pull off speaker cover, to get to 3 torx screws holding on mirror. Unscrew them. Disconnect the mirror wiring (a seperate easy to take off panel on the inside of door, just pull off and unclip black and white harnesses. ) Once unhooked pull mirror out. CLIP SPEAKER BACK IN BEFORE CLOSING DOOR OR IT COULD GET CRUSHED

2. Once mirror is off you can pull off the front door trim. Just pull straight up firmly and slowly on trim starting at door handle end and finishing at front. Same for rear door... just pull up.

Chrome trim above door is just a very hard pull, but its very fragile and make sure to keep the loose ends away from the car as you pull it off.

Did you remove the black plastic end clips on each side first before you pulled the chrome trim up and off? And the opposite did you put the chrome trim on first then add the black plastic end clips? I ask because they are really flimsy and can't be purchased separatly without buying the whole trim piece. Thanks
