New CF glovebox trim installed!

I installed this piece from formymercedes.com...a CF glovebox trim piece. It's a very low profile CF-covered alloy piece so it doesn't look tacked on at all and a one minute install. IMO it really helps complete the overall CF look. A big improvement...I love it!

.
It really does complement it well. Must be because of the black interior so it doesn't stand out too much.

Be careful, I Had the same trim in my C63 and
I had to remove it because of the poor quality. It looked great
out of the box and for about 3 weeks installed and then the
carbon fiber began cracking at variuos points.

This is not a knock on Jerry from formymercedes.com because
he is tremendous to deal with but I never informed him of the
issue I had with this piece. I should have.

Very odd, I'm wondering how that happened as the part is under no stress whatsoever. You should have contacted Jerry because as you say, he is great to deal with...I'm sure he would have taken care of it.

I was baffled myself because it was a simple install and as you
stated, no stress. After about 3 weeks, I started noticing little
tiny vertical slits about a 1/4" long at the top and bottom every
few inches apart that ran the length of the trim piece.

I should have taken pictures of the problem and I should have
contacted Jerry but I didn't.

Hopefully, your piece is problem free because it is very nice
looking and added a nice touch to the glove box.

I do have the carbon fiber knob from Jerry too and it is a
fantastic piece.
