I was there and it was my first sound check. One of the guys tells me to bring it close 7000RPM.
I tell him "The red line? really? It will be really loud!" They say nothing except to do it.
I do the sound check and one of the guys says "You are way too loud" (something around 98db) I say everything is stock. I said I was almost at the red line. They look at my dash and say "I told you to bring to 2/3s of the red line" (which they didn't).
I do the test again and passed at around 91 db. Pretty damn close to the max. Now I'm thinking that with headers anyone would bust this...
I'm going there at the end of the Month so i will skip the 11th but enjoy and keep posting future events!

I had the same old guy probably, I had to explain to him that the car has a rev limiter of 4000RPM in park, so at that I still came very very close to the sound db allowance, I will try to come out to the event on the 11th, my wife and kids are leaving for italy the next day so I will try my hardest to meet you guys there, that track is beautiful and very technical, you will love it.

Hey Chief, where is that video you have from Calabogie...would love to see it, and hear about any track/corner advise!
Also, your tire pressure process? Do you run nitrogen in your tires?

Hey guys, I have tracked the car there a few times last summer and even though I just passed the noise test, I was fine, as well, in May I attended the AMG Driving Academy with C63 and a few other 63 powered cars and no issues as far as I know, so no need to lose sleep. Hope to see you guys there.

I guess it wasn't good planning on the part of the track owner. Nearby residents are complaining ?
There is another track in Ontario that has shut down permanently because of noise. And that track is next to an *** airport!!

If I go, I believe there is another track day on the 16th or 17th and I may attend this one, I will let you know....did your wheels arrive?

Sure, let me know whenever you go... I want to see you race with your car. :P
Off topic, are you free this week-end to meet? It's been nice out this week (although very hot)... we should get all the Ottawa C63 together.
