Tires: 275/35-18 on rears with no rubbing list

A good cm. Looks even more so considering how thick the sidewalk and tread look. Pairing it with 245 in the front makes the car appear slightly lifted. Haha I'm already considering going down one size all around. Granted I'm running on stock wheels -- if I ha wider wheels the tires would look more low profile.
I'll try to snap some pics tonight.

No, not really the aesthetics. I don't know how the other owners feel about running 275s on stock wheel, but with the DWs my car feels much more muted. It's great that it's more comfy but it's just not as responsive -- the car feels like it needs a little more effort to get it going, off the line or turn-in. Not as visceral.
Maybe it's because my tires aren't broken in yet. Maybe it's specific to the design of the tire I'm on, or even perhaps going wider in wheel width would help a lot as well. I'm likely switching back to 235 in front and 265 in the rear. If I can find myself some used summer tires to play with I'll consider putting 245+275 back on just for fun.

I just completed my research on new rears. I ordered 265/35/18 Conti Contact DW's. I see a lot of you guys buying the 275's that are not XL rated. I thought this was a big deal as the load rating is an important factor for our cars. These Conti's (as mentioned above) had the 275 width but not XL so I passed.
It will be interesting to see if the non XL tires hold up or perform any differently than the XL.

Just fitted a new set of Invo 275/35/18 to the rear to replace the Invo 255s that were worn out, (the Invo 245s on the front are hardly worn) no rubbing that I can detect after 1 week of driving, but then I haven't gone hard and fast into a dip to fully compress the suspension, but then again I would assume any rubbing would occur in the initial travel as the outer edge of the tire travels past the guard on its upward and inward arc??

anyone know a good tire pressure setting to start with on the rears running this size instead of what it says on the gas cap for the stockers which is 39 all around.

I replaced my POS pirellis at around 5500miles and they were completely bald. My current Nittos 275 have exactly 10000 miles now(odometer reading 15600 miles) and I have another good 3000-4000 miles to go.
Long history short mi Nittos are going to last 3 times more.
As far is wet traction, I don't mess around with it much, I live in AZ and is dry most of the year and when it rains I don't get in the gas much.

Which Nittos are you using?
