There are plenty of real results. I gained over 20whp with 82mm TBs and a custom dyno tune (also swapped Carbonio for RENNtech intake at that time). And those results were old “race gas” tune vs new “street” tune.

Do believe, though I've done a lot of work similar to this looks like there is a good bit involved to remove and re-installed after watching Tasos video
Wondering what gaskets and if bolts are suggested (ideal) when doing this job. Seeing VRP kits for sale, wondering if everything is included.

There is a good bit involved. It’s not hard, but you need to be organized about it and follow torque values.
Correction to my post above - the 20whp gain was with the TBs and RT intake already on, from off the shelf tune to dyno tune. My bad.

Kriston did a before/after and saw about 10whp IIRC.

I gained 10 WHP with the Renntech Boxes, the Dyno's on one of my old posts if anybody wants to see. Just search the renntech intake review.

Another 10 WHP / 20 LB TQ with the Renntech 82 MM Throttle Bodies. Overall Renntech has been pretty bang on with what they claim their parts make.

Just for info my setup as follows:

Retnntech Intakes
Renntech Throttle Bodies
AFE Dry Filters
AP Long Tubes (Ceramic coated)
Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust (Mid section and Cat back)
EC Canada Dyno Tune.

Fitted and running a stage 3 Weistec car, car drives fine. Initially feeling is throttle feels a little laggy. Hasn’t been retuned but so far so good

I got complete opposite. Throttle tip in is about 10% sharper.

What throttle bodies did you use?

Sport Mode in the PFL with the 82 TB's is super fun to drive. I agree the tip is is quite sharper compared to OEM.

Picked up 30rwhp just by fitting the bigger throttle bodies. Didn’t touch tune.
683 was old throttle bodies
714 now, dyno dynamics used

@rns-11z

wow!!!! I installed 82 mm TB with custom made aluminium velocity stacks, maybe got 10 whp at the most.

You are pulling 683 hp and now 714 hp, is this supercharged ?

getting that power on a NA would be mind blowing

Are you referencing the VRP adapter plate? If so, what mods are required for fitment?

Any update on the stacks? I'm trying to get them in before our track closes for the winter.

No, we are not making stacks at this time A few people have expressed interest but not enough to justify the cost. There is just not enough interest for stacks. We have had nothing but positive feedback on the throttle bodies as they are, and we dont believe there is a benefit from adding a stack, We would need to make 1000 of them, and the price per unit would be too much. We have some other great stuff coming out for M156.

💯 it’s not a direct fit using the adapter plates with the stage 3 weistec set up. I will take photos next week and show if I have to. Clearance is required. One side you can only fit 2 out of the 4 bolts as it doesn’t align properly when trying to fit.
How ever, it does work. Not trying to mock the product but just stating the facts. I’m also very happy that I upgraded. My car is a lot faster now.

For the weistec setup we have throttlebody adapter plates that we use on the 55k, You are talking about mounting the throttlebodies to the Y correct?

How far have you gone into scanning and designing the stacks. Do you have a stl file with the design done?

I'm about to buy a 3d printer that will do carbon nylon to get these made.

We already have a carbon Nylon Printer. That material cant be used inside the intake manifold. You will need to coat it with High temp Epoxy or do injection molded plastic.

I have talked to a company that has carbon that can withstand 300 degrees F

They said it's all in the process of printing it correctly. You need to slow bake the carbon for 4 hours to get the moisture out and print it at the right temp and let it slow cure at 120c for 4 hours after.

There are carbons out there that can take 150c temps and I'd try putting the stock stacks in an oven at 300 degrees to see if they start melting.
