Extra set I got with the TB plate from Russian Oli off eBay are the ones I have for sale. My 82mm TBs are still working great. Love em.

Thank you both (and others) for the awesome info on this thread. I wasted 45 minutes at work reading through a learning more than I ever thought I would about TBs and velocity stacks. I noticed you both are selling TBs now--are these the 82mm ones you all troubleshot in '16-'17? If so, why the sale--time for a change, different tune, or other? Just curious whether, after driving with them for a while, you decided to go a different direction. TIA.
I think BLK is going for a supercharger soon and I've decided to sell my car and buy a Supra. All TBs that we're selling are fine and will make owners happy.

Just want to chime in.i have been running 82mm tbs with my custom made velocity stacts for a few months now.

The car runs and drives like normal,no codes,no weird harsh throttle jerking and no idle or gear shifting issues.

I'm on an oetuning file so not sure if that helps as alot of people have complained there cars don't shift right with there tunes. My car drives like own stock throttle bodies with the 82s and no tuning was done for them.

It appears our Russian source has dried up on ebay? Also, I don't understand VRP and how they price stuff. 7 months ago in April they announced at $600 per:https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...ml#post7426285

Then in June it was $800: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...ml#post7491098

And now...$1100: http://vrpspeed.com/index.php?route=...product_id=416

So...is it just me or does that seem a little egregious? Right right, don't complain about a vendor willing to offer a bespoke part. Gotcha.

we were hoping there would be more interest and pricing is based on quantity when we go to make these plates. We have another batch about to go into production. If we can get 5 pre sold out of this batch we can drop our price on the plates to $800. The Russians also only milled flat plates, ours have the angle, which requires additional operations which = higher manufacturing costs. The difference in costs for making flat vs angle is about $200.

w are happy to work with you all, we have just been underwhelmed by the interest in development in the 63. I've even thought maybe designing 63 parts has been a waste of effort, but if you al believe it is price based then we will see what we can do to get them down.

I think your plate is the only way to go. But I think 1100 just a plate is a lot. 800 is more reasonable. You’re 85’s are also the way to go since they are completely rebuilt!

Also, I seen one of the plates in person. Amazing quality but screws holes need more depth and if you can make v-stacks like the renntech unit or kleemann. I think at your price point it would be a home run.

If it's true that a little more depth is needed, maybe it's possible to tweak the file before milling the next batch? For the second part, sounds like a dedicated Group Buy thread is in order, go go go!

We have already made the screw depth adjustment. Thanks for your feedback. I Have created a "Presale" Listing on our website, you can find it in the following link, What ive done is listed the plates with an option for the throttlebody add ons,

Here it is. Share share share, and hopefully we sell at least 5 so that we can get these out for you all!

Old thread bump.
has anyone gotten the Porsche TB to work(0280 750 473)

i read another thread about swapping pins 1-4 & 5-6

when i press the gas the Tb open and close.
i buttoned everything back up. And goes into limp mode pressing the pedal revs for a sec then goes limp, takes like 30 seconds to get up to 15mph.

I unplugged the Tb to see if it even made a difference and it does not, so I’m assuming the motor + - swap of the pins is right but possibly the tps signal is wrong?

Also getting the p2101 (throttle control actuator)

code off and on

That's because it's working in reverse. If you plug it in but outside the manifold (and without actually cranking the motor) you'll see that they're open at maximum with your foot off the pedal and then they actually close when you put your foot down on the pedal.

I'm 95% sure I documented this behaviour earlier in the thread when I was tinkering with it. I don't know what Renntech does with the pins, but I do know that I tried many combinations, all of which failed.

Edit: page 3, posts #56 and #57

I plugged it in off the car and in the on position they open and close just fine.

Eurocharged actually has a document that says swap pins 1/4 & 5/6.

i think the problem is it’s going into limp mode as I can drive it but have no acceleration. Apparently their is a re-learn for motronic throttle bodies.

let me do some more test and I’ll report back.

no no no.. Do not swap any pins.

The 80mm throttlebody gets a pin swap, Not the 82mm.

The instructional you are looking at is also for a 55k not a 63

85mm is an 82mm throttlebody that is completely dissembled, Bored out to 85mm with a new butterfly valve, and fully rebuilt. it communicates with the vehicle exactly like the 82mm, we have a different mounting plate for the 2 sizes.

Just had my second set of Renntech 82 MM TB's installed (set on the ML63 and on the C63) - Picked up 20 LB TQ with full bolt ons. 2 WHP gain.

Well it works now!!
Not sure if the motronic reset worked or if it was just unplugging the battery.

How ever now I’m getting the MAP sensor code, but I’ve read about a Map Clamp that should fix the issue, I’ve also ordered the newer Bosch sensor..

I will say the Bosch 0280750473 Porsche 82mm TB I only paid like 250$ for new on eBay.
They open backwards so you swap pin 1/4 &5/6.
You also have to Dremel a bit of material off.
Drill hole in TB for vacuum hose.
Also have to drill new holes to bolt down the TB.
also have to make custom gasket.

How big are the 550 throttle bodies? I know they are sized in here but too lazy to search

They are 82mm and what everyone uses. No pin swaps and has vaccum hole like the stock tbs have. 100% direct fit. I just bought a spare for 50 bucks on ebay

This is the tb part number you guys need. Direct fit and confirmed working on my car.

a2731410325

They are from the na 5.5 v8 cars before they went turbo
