About to pull the trigger
On a Mars Red 2009 C63 with just about everything except the performance package.
It has telaid, MULTIMEDIA PKG, PREMIUM 2 PKG, and the seating package.
I am paying 55K but it only has 2K miles on the odometer and they are giving me more in a trade in on my Cayenne Twin Turbo than anyone else.
Should I pull the trigger?
Thanks.

Had I not been trading in a Mars Red C350, I'd have gotten the same car as you're looking at. I paid just a hair under $53K for my '09 with identical equipment to yours, CPO, but 9K miles.

Not sure about the Quaife price. That does sound interesting.

I have the Mars red and I love it. It is a head turner since most of the people on the roads are used to the typical silver metalic colros or black and white colors.
I traded a C6 z06 fo my C63 and the quality of ride in the C63 is truly unmatch, tis car is very smooth, silky shifting and robust acceleration. Go for it!

The car he is looking at has no PP(P30) and by saying softer he means non-Performance Package suspension. The LSD does not affect suspension.

I'm going to be the party pooper here...
$55k, non CPO, 2k on clock.... Too much money... Yes it has the remainder of the warranty, but who knows what the previous owner did in those 2k, did he break it in correctly, etc etc.. I paid $50k for mine, CPO, granted, had quite a few more miles on the clock (14k), but atleast I have the remaining 2 years warranty and balance of miles, plus an additional year from the CPO program.
Also.. red... too cliched

Tell whoever is selling it to you that you can get the same car, CPO, for $52K and you won't pay a penny over that for theirs. And, use the fact that red is a difficult color to sell against them. Sure, you (and I) love the color, but many do not and that reduces the value of that car vs. black, silver, white, etc. I traded in a Mars Red C350 and had to hear the dealer tell me the same crap. Red sits on the lot until just the right buyer comes along.

Well, if the dealer was telling me the truth it costs them $1500 to CPO the car, not including whatever they need to do to it to get it up to snuff. Your 2K mile car probably needs nothing except maybe an oil change, although it's possible the rear tires are under CPO spec. However, I'd represent to the dealer selling your car that a CPO car is worth, in value to you, at least $2K more than a non-CPO car. And, it's also worth that to the next buyer you might sell to.
If at some point you decide to sell, a car going out of warranty in a month or two is worth much less to a discerning buyer than one with another 14 months of MB backing, especially an AMG car. They ain't cheap to fix.
In my mind, I will not own one of these cars beyond the warranty period. No way, no how. It's trade-in or selling time about 1 year, give or take, before expiration.

I keep my cars for quite a while....planning on 5 years or more for this car.
I have an excellent Indy shop for repairs.
The dealer just agreed to give me 4.59% financing. Another thing, this car has a stunning sand/off white interior that I absolutely love.

And with stellar credit B of A will do 3.99 if the dealer inquires. Make the dealer give you the "buy rate." Not the rate they marked it up to in order to get some yield spread premium.
And, if you really are intent to keep the car for 5 years, make their inclusion of a comprehensive extended service plan AT COST a deal maker/breaker. And make them put the AT COST term in writing so you know they're not BS'ing you.

Don't let people scare you off the deal.
I had the same issue with my car. I could buy it non CPO or pay $1,500 more with CPO coverage. With the CPO, they did the service and put brand new tires all around (Michelin PS2s) so it was a no brainer.
I paid 56K back in November 09 (it had the PP package and the Passport 9500ci (awsome by the way).
Some people advised at the time that it was a bit high but I had been searching for that color combo (grey/ sahara) and I would have regreted it so much if I had lost the car for a few thousands.
If it is what you want, then get it. $55K is not a bad price and if you can get it certified for another 1.5K, do it.
Just my 02 cents.

Based on my math, the CPO only gives me an extra year of warranty.
Its going to come down to them honoring their trade in commitment.
They promised my 25K for my CTT w/ 63K miles. If they don't jack me around I will do the deal.
