Installed my Vorsteiner Carbon Aero diffuser

Pulled the trigger and am very pleased with the new aggressive stance it has created. Quite frankly pictures don’t due justice (poor lighting) because the quality of this piece is great. Kudos to Brad (Evosport) for answering my questions on time and delivered as promised. My only suggestion is that the screws used for the mesh should come in black. I painted them so they are less visible. Also big shout to DOCKT for his DIY diffuser installation post! Installed it myself without any issues. Thanks big time!

Looks great! It looks much better than I originally gathered from Evosport's press photos.

fitment is dead on?

i have had trouble with slight fitment issues with their parts for my e46 m3.

it is hard to tell from your pics how good the fitment is, but it sounds like you did not run into any serious issues.

i am looking forward to seeing some more pics.

Here's another pic. Fitment is solid. The only issue I encountered was lining up the right side screw but after another pair of hands I was able to get it in. I'm very satisfied with it.

This diffuser looks really good in-person. I've seen it on Josh's vehicle and it really changes the rear end.

Very nice! I've never heard/seen this diffuser before -- great job. Makes the rear look more substantial w/c is a good thing!

Looks good...does it hang down a bit in the airstream like the stock diffuser? How does that central vent work...allow air to flow through and create some downforce?

I am going to stick my neck out and assume this is purely cosmetic.

Agreed, not that many after market companies can afford wind tunnel testing.

They probably got that vent idea from the F430 and the 370Z. If you look at the back of those cars you'll know what I mean.

Take a pic from underneath so that we can see if that vent plays any role from capturing air from down below and how far it grabs the bottom...

1. Does it create more downforce? Don't know. I bought it for purely cosmetic reasons. But I highly doubt that even our stock diffuser with those tiny fines does anything. “'The key role of the diffuser on a modern racecar is to accelerate the flow of air under the car, creating an area of low pressure, thus increasing downforce.” http://www.racecar-engineering.com/a...explained.html
2. Contact Brad at Evosport and ask him those technical questions.
3. Price. http://www.evosport.com/product/prod...ST.EXT.M04.CRD

No mention of downforce.
