Quote: I would NOT buy the 2010 E63 right now at all. The new twin turbo version is coming out in less than a year, which will drive the prices of the 2010 E63 down to the gutter regardless of how good of a discount you initially get. The twin turbo model will be much quicker, faster, and more mod friendly. If you need a car now and really want a good NA engine, stick with the C63 for now. If you can wait one more year, go for the twin turbo E63, which by all indications right now, will be a heck of a beast.
+1 what Mo says. Plus it will be even more fuel efficient.

Used W211 NA 6.2s (and W212s in time) might be somewhat desirable eventually for those wanting only NA motors (which will be a rarity in the future), but the prices will still be down there.

Buying a new W212 E63 now makes zero sense. By MY2013 or so, the car will be well sorted out and worth buying new. New motors, cosmetic fixes, better options, etc.. It'll be competing hard with the new M5.

Anyone buying a new 2010 or 2011 W212 E63 is really not getting a lot over what already existed. And especially in light of what's around the corner. It's no doubt why they're being heavily discounted. They sold okay at the very beginning of the introduction in late 2009, but they aren't selling that well now.

And most of all they may very well end up using the SLS's DCT and dump the MCT. The MCT had issues in the SL and it still has issues. It's the same gearbox as the 7-GTronic except with no torque converter and a wet start up clutch. It's not a true manual automated gearbox.

A E63 with the 5.5 TT motor and a better tranny than the MCT, along with the performance package, is worth waiting for, imho.
