Kyle!! One more time. Do not get a GTR as a DD. It is a very desirable car but very focused. Its forte is not as a commuter. If your budget is for one car that's in the 60-90K range, then get the C63. You will be sorry if you get the Nissan.
So save yourself 20K, get a C63 and enjoy numerous lap dances with the coin that you save.

In almost every comparison I make between German and Japanese I come to the same conclusion... German. Feels more solid, looks more solid, doesn't rattle as much, it's just frieking German. Period. I can't place exactly what the Japanese feel is the result of, but it just ain't great. Tinny, hollow, cheapo. IMHO. I could be wrong.

I also think that the difference has gotten much smaller.

looks more solid= can't say i agree. The C interior looks very cheap
doesn't rattle= haven't had a car with any noticeable rattles in 10 years
German engineering and build quality is largely a myth these days, especially at lower price points. Sure, the S65s/Audi S8/SLS etc are good, but overall, thats mostly in the past.
Tinny, hollow, and cheap may be the case in entry level econo boxes, but not in a decent car.
Every lexus I've been in felt substantial and solid.

Japanese luxury cars are well built overall now days but Japanese performance cars are not that solid compare to its german rivals.
Personaly i had a lot of seat time in my friend's GTR which he recently sold in favor of a M5. The GTR's brake squeels like a ****** *****, ride like its on harsh coilovers and has been constantly rattling ever since day one of his purchase. I mean if you look for ultimate performance for the least money Japanese cars are the way to go. Either its GTR,STI,Evo they are all exceptionally good performers but if you are looking for a better overall package German cars are the way to go.

I am driving both.
GTR speed in both straight n turns are unbelievable!!!! crazy
. with little $$ on mod. you can hav same straight line speed as Gallardo 560-4 and slightly quicker than Gallardo supperleggera (at least from 0-220km/hr).
but i have heard approx. 6-7 out of 10 of my friends experience gear box breaks down and it costs around US 10000 - 15000 to repair (depends where it breaks...) Including myself.
but i had never have a problem w my c63 no matter how hard u drive it...
