Maybe not me but you never know for kids or even after I park my car and leave the car and someone just walk by and hit the muffler that will be more of problem. For me its my car so I don't care but just that kids specially and people you don't know.
Plus this post is for all of you guys to watch out that is it nothing more.

Good call. Never gave it a thought before. But a good reminder to never touch hot exhaust pipes..............

It might just be because In Japan parking spaces are tight, parking garages have little wiggle room, so it is pretty easy to walk too close to your car and get burned. Most of us in the US won't have that issue. The tips do look good though, to recess them too much would be a shame

Leaning into the trunk to grab something I burned my leg TWICE on the same spot on 2 different occasions. I have a nice 3 inch scar as a reminder. WTF!
