M6...?
OK so I found an 08 M6 grey w/ black interior with 9k miles on the clock at a very very very good price.... Most likely will trade the S550 for it (dont drive it much).... If the deal goes down the first thing I'm going to do is put my little beast to the test against the M. Hopefully I am able to work out a good deal for the S with the dealer. Expected outcome vs the C63? I have no idea.

Couple days ago I was thinking on getting M5 or M6. The reason is that M will be turbo and also AMG will be turbo so there will be no more great NA engine. I have great V8 engine C63 so just wanted to have V10 engine also. Just love that V10 engine sound. Its like Formula One engine sound if you get good muffler set up.

The interior is one of the best in design, choice in materials and quality of execution. Leather and carbon fiber everywhere.
I think it's a great combination of cars to own. Good luck with the deal!

I think I would sell the C63 instead of the S550, because why would you sell such an stunning good car, that's maybe not even a year old, and trade it in for a sport coupe? With an S550 and an M6 you have a good luxury, and a very nice sport coupe. Otherwise you have a sport sedan (which is not that big and luxurious as a S550) and an M6... But that's what I should do.

Power to power, yeah, you're right, M6 takes down the 7, but at about 20k less, the 7 was better value for me. Even then, I was still going to pull the trigger on an 06, but wife wanted more of a family cruiser lol. Either way they're really two completely different cars for two completely different purposes, but the nice V8 7 is still no slouch.

Meistercraft or something similar makes an amazing exhaust for the Ms. It sounds perfect. Plenty of videos on youtube.
The M6 will hold its own against the C63. It will be a close race and up to the driver's skills.
Great car as long as you like the Bangle effect.

Hey, I acknowledged the M6 is amazing, but those are two completely different cars. Like saying why would someone pick an S550 over a M6? Can't even compare the two as they're two completely different cars. Knee jerk reaction of course is M6. Both are top of the line, but both serve two different purposes. Soldier's going from a land yacht to a speed boat. I opted for the comforts (along with the huge back seat for family) of a land yacht.

Prior to buying my CLS63 (now traded in for the C63) I was seriously considering the M6 however, after 3 hours behind the wheel I returned the car and signed up for the CLS63 for one reason alone:
I could never get used to the clunky gear box.

This is the only car I like from Mr. Bangle (w/ Pininfarina; interior)
The Coupe Fiat! (with 1.8 16v (131hp),2.0 16v (140hp), 2.0 20v (147 or 155 bhp, in-line 5), 2.0 16v Turbo (190hp) or the top of the line 2.0 20v Turbo (220 bhp). It's a stunner! The colored strip in the interior is color-matched with the body-color.

Had '08 M5 and loved it.
The driving dynamics of the M6-M5 are very similar. Dual natured beast...docile and easy to drive under 5k rpm. Once you go over 5k rpm, feels like it's going to rip out of its skin, very brutal.
Very lively feeling car and usually drives/feels smaller than it actually is.
My '08 was very reliable and bulletproof, since the kinks were worked out by that time.
NA V10 screaming at 8000rpm is unforgettable...

stock vs stock the m6 is much faster. the m6 is faster than a 2006 gallardo( from a rolling start). and the m6's is easier to handle while drifting, which will make track days more fun

I dunno... The problem with the M6 is the M5. Seems like your getting more for your money with an M5, and I'm not the biggest fan of the way the M6 looks. I checked out the M6 and while the driving experience was great (that motor was AMAZING) I just wasn't overly impressed by everything else the car had to offer. Overall I think I would rather keep the S550 but it's your money. Just my $.2
