How about that, the mini spare is an AMG!
I was cleaning up some water I spilled in the trunk and in the name of thoroughness, I decided to take out the spare wheel to clean at the very bottom. Lo and behold, the mini spare is an AMG spare wheel. check out the pics attached.

Needs to contain those big brakes.
In another car I owned the instructions for using the mini spare were that if a rear puncture occurs, one must replace the rear with a front wheel and then use the mini spare in the front in order to protect the LSD.
Has anyone read this for the LSD version of the C63?
(ref car was an S2000)

I had to use my spear a few months back, got a hole in the rear passenger side tire. The spare worked fine on the back for about 40-50 miles on the highway till I was home. I have the LSD and had no problems but I didn't gun it or go over 55 the whole way.

I just bought a 2010 C63 on Aug 30th, and I have checked to see if there was a spare or not, but haven't check to see if its an AMG mini spare! I will due that today. my E63 has a collapsable donut that you must inflate, but never check that either.

nice spare--I still remember my last BMW had a REAL spare that matched the other four rims--those were the days.
It was nice because I used it to replace one of my rims when I curb it

Important!
I just wanted to make sure all you guys know that when you have a spare wheel on, you MUST trun off the ESP. The smaller wheel will spine at a higher revolution, thus making the ESP think the wheel is slipping and countering it the brakes. So to save your brakes, turn off the ESP while driving on a spare.

I've seen it hands on (blown tire) and I must say this is the weirdest shaped wheel I've ever seen. So narrow but 18". I wouldn't even try to put this in the back with 400 pounds of torque.

"Do not switch off the ESP when a spare wheel is mounted."
