I got the AMG cover. PN# A204 899 0086 - It was given to me but price would be around $200.00 Good for garage and some outdoors. If it gets wet it dries out pretty quickly. Is Silver in color with AMG logo on front and is custom fitted to W204. Will take pics tomorrow if you want so you see what it is like.

I'm road tripping right now so I can't give you any details but I bought one from autoanything.com, liked it so much I got one the M5. You might find a 10% off deal for new or prior customers. Great cover...I will check details when I get a chance to fire up the laptop.

Do you remember what type of specific car cover it was?

I finally got a chance to look it up - it's a Coverking Stormproof, SKU 3595080 for the gray color (IIRC $295 before any discount). I have found it to be equally good for indoors and out...easy to roll up and store as the fabric is relatively thin and slinky. I've used quite a few car covers and this material is my favorite to date. BTW beware the MB parts dept "Sport for C" cover - I had one and returned it - it is cut for the Sport model regular C and is SUPER-tight on the C63. My dealer originally told me it fits the C63 but it doesn't. You will surely scratch the front and rear of the car by tugging the cover to try to get it to stay down. They may have one for the C63 by now but if so, it will not be called "Sport" because that is the name of the old one that dealers think fits the C63. Hope that helps...

It seems to be a very well made cover. It fits well and has a "deep" cut so that it almost covers all of the wheel but still has just the right amount of elasticity so that it doesn't budge in the wind but is easy to pull up and over a bumper.

Pics attached. Sorry not best quality but in a rush this morning. Some comments:
1. Since I have added the CF front lip (adds 2-3" to front end) and CF trunk lip (0.75" over OEM) the cover will no longer go all the way over the front end of the car. Now I did not spend much time trying to correct this when I put on for photos, but there was still some slack in back where I could have gotten it over the front lip. When the car was stock it fit all the way around under the front and back bumpers and did not pull on the front or rear bumpers. The material also is elastic to a degree so there is some give in it. Those damn mods always wrecking anything OEM!![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
2. I have found with use the material has stretched just a very little where the fit is always snug but not super tight
3. The underside of the cover I have is made of soft chaimois/felt like liner so I have seen no scatches
4. I have to say that this not meant for all the time outdoor use. It really is garage cover but can handle the average storm - I have left mine on one time and we got a sudden storm and it held through 40-50 mph gusts/hard rain with no issues at all.
I am sure that the cover bhamg is excellent and might be better solution for your needs. Mine was free from MBZ here so I was not going to complain. Hope this helps.

Here a German MBZ dealer is clearing out excess inventory on eBay. They have this cover, but at 250Euro is over priced. http://cgi.ebay.de/Mercedes-AMG-Car-...pflege_Wartung

I would recommend Evolution car covers. ~$180. The dealer sold MB and BMW car covers are made of the same material minus the selection of how thick you want it to be.
I have the evolution 4, which is the thickest with 4 layers for indoor use. I was looking for something that would protect my car from people scraping by it, dings, etc... I've been very happy with it for over a year now and has protected very well. I keep my car in an underground building garage, and so far it has survived cats, pipe crap, and more recently garage renovation where it was covered in wall crap and worker's tools (long story.) I feel it has paid for itself in dividends. In the event of war, I would seriously consider hiding under it along with my car.

I just called the MB dealer here in town and they don't even list the part number A204 899 0086. The closest he has is A204 899 0386, which comes to $450.00. Does anyone have another option on a car cover for the C63 4-door. I ain't doing no $450 car cover that is only good for in-door use.
Thanks
Howie

Would have loved to use the AMG cover, but am trying to not draw as much attention to my car here in the city. I've had a bunch of California Car Covers over the years, and they work great for me.
Here's their selection for the sedan. Fit has always been spot-on.

Go to any of the online MB places(check below), pick year, car, etc, and then search for your part, remove the "A"
https://www.mercedespartscenter.com/...?siteid=215720
For the original part 2048990086 it's ~$263.41@mbpc, called a "protecting cover"
for your new part 2048990386 it's ~$372.75@mbpc, called "PROTECTING C"
No idea the difference, but a phone call might help.
My list of places to search for OE parts are:
http://mymercedesparts.com/
http://www.oediscountparts.com/
http://mercedespartscenter.com/
http://genuinemercedesparts.com
http://www.mbpartsworld.com
http://www.ecstuning.com
They're all always cheaper than my local dealers, one will usually have it for ~$10 cheaper than the rest, but they vary and change.
HTH.
