Kleemann VS Renntech

Just wanted to some opinions and reasons why you would pick one ECU upgrade over the other. I’m looking for honest answers and don’t care much for the hype like the pulley systems that the other guys have. Thanks in advance to everyone

I really dont know much about them, Just wanted to go with somone who's been around for a while. I really did not want to take a chance with the motor leaning out or pinging in order to get more numbers out of it...

The MKB tuning give you 550HP check this

The price i think will be expensive for the name of MKB

but I think you should try MHP tuning they have sales

Tuning S3 for $2995 and I think you will got more power then MKP tuning

if it's just a tune , then almost all the tunes will give you the same amount of power ( + or - a few horses ) . if you are going to do more than a tune , i would suggest going with one company for all the products they have . just my $.02

have to call on the 550hp claim. I highly doubt 550 from a pure ECU flash. If you look at their brochure they use a single file for all 63 mods across the board from C through SL etc.

I am sure that one of the smart guys (Bruce from TTM, Andy from MHP etc) can provide more expert commentary on this claim.

Why you are not sure wether about 550hp from pure ECU flash ,.?

MKB tuning maybe they use it for all 63 engines I think because they are same .

Or maybe they have a reason for this .

Maybe more you get more will affect your engine.

+1 about smart guys can provide this (Bruce from TTM, Andy from MHP etc)

My tuner can reach the 560HP pure ECU flash but for Performance Package

every tuner i think can reach more than we expect

I just think (not basing this on pure data to back it up) that most ECU tunes over-estimate the power they get from pure ECU flash. What seems to be accepted increase is +40-70hp for tunes that are out there. I simply don't believe that you can get +120hp from a ECU tune alone. I think the reason MKB do single tune for all cars is that is cheaper this way and maybe they only have access to a single file. Who knows. But I have got to believe that if you could get 560hp from ECU tune only, members here would have been all over it along time ago.

I have been around cars and tuning since I don’t remember when . some guys push more hp at the expense of the motor and when something goes wrong it’s never the software they made. I think I’m going to go with the Keeman K2. I've been talking to them directly not dealers and they have been giving me all the right ans. unlike most others. Don’t think just because a guy can make a software he knows what he's doing..... This is the most important thing you can do for your car and it’s the one thing that can destroy your engine by running too rich, lean or too much timing. I rather pay a little more.

I respect your opinion

every tuner has one way for tuning and there are different power engine

maybe I will get only K1 and other car same as me but he is Betting me every time we are same tuning i think not all engines are same power.

And about 560hp this tune is for performance Package only

for my tune i got around 80hp

both Kleemann and Renntech are respectable companies and have been tuning mercedes vehicles much much longer than others like MHP. In my honest opinion the only difference is the price. One charges $1500 while Renntech charges like $3200 if im not mistaken.... This is pretty much a no brainer
BTW for those that think Renntech doesn't "void" your warranty or that every dealer will honor the tune your in a big denial. Any tune and I repeat any aftermarket tune dont matter if it's Brabus, Renntech or MHP can void your warranty, if and only if something happens to the car and they blame it on the modification of the ECU. The only company that is certified by Mercedes Benz of America is AMG

Both Kleemann and RennTech are very reputable so you really can't go wrong with either company. I prefer RennTech because they do a LOT of the research in-house.

The MKB tune-only price was $8500 3 years ago from their U.S. distributor. I'm not sure what it is right now though as it may have dropped

I'm asking about MKB since it seems they are the only ones offering flashes in mainland China excluding HongKong.

Just curious - what MHP products are you using on the E63?

I am not with you at this point

AMG will Not develop the Performance package for nothing or there is no different

Or if there is no different why the Do the performance package .
