FOR THOSE WITH H N R SPRINGS!!
Did any of you guys need a camber kit after installing springs?
After installing my springs, i waited for a couple of weeks for them to settle in then took it to an alignment shop beause the front tires weren't wearing properly. So they told me i needed a camber kit (different bolts) to get the car properly aligned. Which i did, and its fine now. Just wanted to know if anyone here had to do the same thing. thanks

^^ let them settle in a bit, then take it for an alignment check...I would say in about 3 weeks. The springs will lower and adjust a bit![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
But my question was, did any of u guys that have H n R springs need a CAMBER kit??...The shops said otherwise an alignment was impossible

I have the same issue. My car pulls right. I ve had the springs for about a year. My shop has corrected it for the time being, but i dont think it is a permanent fix.

Better than stock? No, not by a mile. When I got my C63, I couldn't wait to get those springs off the car (previous owner). I love H&R products (specifically their coilovers) but anyone pairing off the shelf lowering springs with stock shocks shouldn't expect much improvement except in looks and a slightly lower CG.
I, too, noticed a pretty obvious pull to the left with the H&R springs, once the stock springs were back on though, the pull went away.

I heard the "pulling" could be caused by uneven tire wear from the stock spring set-up?? Can someone confirm this theory?

Ride and handling are two separate issues. A car could feel more "planted" but ride like crap. I'm only commenting on the ride aspect. I'm sure the H&R springs convey better confidence but that is mostly due to the lower CG. How "planted" your car really is, is more a function of your tires.

Lowering your car will naturally give it more NEGATIVE camber (front and rear).
The C63 does NOT have camber or caster adjustment in the FRONT. All you can adjust is toe.
Most ppl think when their car pulls that is automatically an alignment issue. That's not the case all the time (hardly at all). Tires cause pulling most of the time. It's called RADIAL pull. Just google it...
Times alignment can cause pulling is:
Front caster is off side to side
Rear Toe is off side to side
Extreme difference in front camber
Mines lowered with H&R springs in the front and OEM spring pads in the back. I chose to do this because I DO NOT like the front sitting higher than the rear. I like it perfectly even. I use the thinest OEM spring pad in the rear and a little taller tire in the back. My fender gap is almost perfectly even front and back.
The front camber is off about a 1/2 degree side to side. I can't remember exactly (I'm too lazy to go in the garage and get the alignment print out) but I believe it's -1.7 LF and -1.2 RF. Total toe in about an 1/8".
The rear (I can't remember but iI know it's at OEM settings). Since it only lowered it 8mm in the rear it didn't change it much.
My car doesn't pull at all...
BTW, I lowered and aligned it myself...
For those of you that have "pull" and it's aligned properly, take your car to a tire shop that has a "Road Force" balancer with "Straight Trac". Have them set the machine in Straight Trac setting and balance your tires this way. The Straight Trac will indicate if it's Radial pull. Unfortunately you can only move the two front tires since the 63 has staggered tires. This will only make it pull the other way if it is indeed Radial pull. But this will at least tell you it's not the alignment...
Anyway, hope this helps...
