Need new rear tires...
Ok, the time has come. Damn sport mode!!
My fronts are still good, so I am sticking with the own p0 for now.
Two questions:
1. Can I bump up to a 265 with the original fronts? (265/??/18)
2. Where do you Toronto guys get your tires and how much?
Btw, 12k km on the rears!!!

Nice get Nitto Invo's or Michelin PS2 ( these are the best 2 tires IMHO). I've gone thru 8 sets of tires in 20,000 miles, 2 front and 6 rear. About your original question yes you can bump to 265 in the rear with stock fronts that's not a problem.

Gonna stick with the p zero for now. Don't want to mix front and back profiles.
Just size and price to figure out.
I did like the ps2, had them oem on my isf.

I get my tires from simply tire.
I am running Falken 452 in 265 in the rear now, the fronts are still the oe pzeros. Next tire I am putting on will be the Bridgestone RE760 , and looking towards the RE11 for track.

For the same price as you're going to pay for two p0 you can get a full set of Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport in:
235 F / 275 R

No rubbing at all, there's a long thread called "the 275 no rubbing list" :p Taller rear diameter is not noticeable at all.
Treadwear is 340, they aren't that great in the wet. The harder compound (compared to P0) is more than offset by the amount of rubber on the road.
It's amazing you even got 12k out of the p0s, most guys on here get 8000kms max .

I had the Potenza re050 before. HORRIBLE in the rain. I had to drive with my hazards on!!
I like the sizes!!! Hmmm, might need to do some further research here!!

$1390 for two PZERO's rears??!! That dosent sound right.
You should think about getting the Hankook EVO's, Bridgestone RE-11, or Dunlop star specs. The nitto NT-05's are great too. Hankooks are the best bang for your buck, cheapest tire but performers great. They are also XL rated too.

If you're leasing on a 20k / yr lease over 3 years, then that equates to:
P0s
5 sets of rears, 2 sets of fronts, cost $5200 rears, $800 fronts = $6k
If you switch to RE760s
3 sets of RE760 rears (18k-20k if highway), 1 (maybe 2), max cost: $2025 rears, $890 fronts, total: $2915
Long story short If you're switching brands, do all 4. and if you go with the potenzas you save $3 Gs over the life of your lease. Also depending on how many clicks you put on your winters.. you might only need 1 more set of RE760s for your whole lease... you can easily chew 1 -2 sets of P0s per season.
Plus you make friends with Allen.. maybe he'll race you in his GT-R :p

I would save a bit a tread on the original tires and sway them back on before your lease inspection. They measure tread depth when you return your car, well at BMW anyways.

I guess the moral of the story is, you would really have to irrationally love P0s to ever put them on again.

no it doesn't, it sounds extremely high. They must be made with that Canadian rubber. It has maple syrup in it.

Also just for comparison's sake, 10 months ago I paid $815 OTD for a full set of the now-impossible-to-find-because-they-are-so-awesome Continental DWS

I would never recommend you the POS Pirellis OEMs. I am rolling on Nittos NT 555 and my next stop is 555R. My tires are 275/35/18 and I love them.
So far this is how I valued my current aftermarket tires:
1) better traction
2) Cheaper
3) Last longer
4) Looks better
Is up to you but I strongly recommend going with wider tires, at least one or two numbers.

Also.. would 235 front and 275 rear not look weird.. I am trying for 245 front 275 rear, but the 245 DW's are back ordered everywhere, so am going 235 front 265 rear.

I just got the Hankook Evo 275/35/18's installed in the rear, no rubbing at all. The surprising thing is, i was comparing the stock 255 Pzeros to the 275 Hankooks and there was only a 2mm difference in size. I used a digital caliper to measure both tires, the 255 pirellis measured 264mm and the 275 Hankooks measured 266mm.
Alot of people complain that the Pirellis are skinny tires but in reality they are pretty wide.
