OE Tuning Dyno Results

lol so every time Jon jumped me by a half car length every time I raced him prior to my current state, and I reeled him in, by his logic I put car lengths on him!
Jon asked me to run for money earlier today. I forgot to block him off my buddy list so I didn't answer. If he was a gracious winner OR loser, I'd throw money on it, being that I'm a degenerate gambler anyway and it would make it more exciting. But the same reason why I refuse to run him for fun is the same reason I refuse to run him for money he won't ever shut his f'in mouth. Frankly, I'm tired of it and apparently so are a lot of other people around here.
BTW Jon, didn't you say you refuse to ever race with a passenger in your car? "oh passenger makes a huge diff bro they get beat bad from a roll" You raced a guy much bigger than you and likely more stuff in their trunk as well. How about we put a 100 lbs worth of sandbags in your car and hit him up for a rematch? That's basically what it boils down to.

At least 100lb's. You have met Jon. He weights 120 at best. Plus I had 40lb's in car seats in back and im 210. Put another 130 in his car and we will be even. Or ill take out the kid seats and put a 100lb bag in the font with him.

Regardless, for someone who makes a big stink about a car's weight (Jon) he omitted that fact. Someone won't claim they have a factory freak anymore it seems.

I don't dislike him. We've gone to a dyno day, the drag strip together and had 350Z's together. What pisses me off is he won't ever f'in shut up about the same things over and over again. Like a bad DJ, I can predict what's coming every time I talk to him

No, not even close. The ROW airboxes made zero HP/TQ gains on the dyno when compared to the OEM airboxes with charcoals removed. We also tested a couple filters. avengerboater tested OEM paper vs. K&N filters and saw zero gains. I tested BMCs on my car vs. OEM paper filers. Same results; there was no measurable difference in power with any of the airbox/filter combinations.

I tried this. Told him I would pay for it. He asked for real world results first. He got them.
Now I told him to hold up his end of the deal and he seems to be backing out of it calling me a chicken for not racing him again in PM's.
I told him he could do a Dyno pull with his car without the box mod and K&N's and then I would swap in my filters and box mod and Dyno again... He doesnt like that idea I guess...

I also got the hp and tq confused. So basically,
to me. hahaBut, I there is a dyno graph in his thead that shows a 20 ft/lbs rwtq increase in the middle of the powerband. And in some areas rwhp is up by 15.
Sure, 1, 2, 3, even 5 hp/tq, no biggy but 20 ft/lbs rwtq is a big enough difference that the torque curve definitely got higher.
Interestinly, charcoal filter delete showed a marginal gain as well. But it was small enough that if you say it makes no difference, I believe it.

About few yrs ago I ran your 135i (tuned to 355whp) when you got my stock Clk55 by 1 1/2 cars. I never denied that.But going from a 60 roll we were pretty much even. You had all this BS excuses about turbo lag and whatever. I said I wanted to run you again(with video) from 60 roll but you continued to ignore me. Now you jump on the bandwagon about the lbs difference. Geez that guy with the Jeep never gave excuses about the run. You are

Yeah its not about who won.. its about me jumping 1/2 a car on him and him reeling in a 1/4 car up to 140 MPH with him lighter at least 100lb's.

And my lord this was last year, like June or July when I had just a tune and intake.... few years ago? I didn't have my car a "few years ago". I had a Civic
Anywho, like I said it's your mouth that makes me not want to talk to you anymore or run you for that matter. I would think after years of getting blasted by others you would get the hint, but I guess not. And regarding the weight differential, I'm going off what YOU state, not what I think. To me, a loss is a loss, a win is a win. You evidently don't feel that way, so keep on guessing. I sincerely hope no one ever runs you again so now you get to keep your "factory freak" to yourself
