Power steering recall - 2010 C Class
Are our AMG cars included in this recall that was issued today?

This past monday is the second time ive dropped off my C63 because the power steering failed again. The only thing is mines is a 2009. They say they dont know what is causing it though. Probably the same issue?

I had mine in for service last month and they found a leaking steering line. Must be something to this, eh?
The problem was the catch pan caught all the fulid so you don't see the leak.

2009 Subaru WRX & 2010 C63
"DAG has determined that the power steering system in the subject vehicles may fail due to the loss of power steering fluid. The connection fitting on the high-pressure power steering line at the connetion to the pump may not have sufficient torque applied during the production process." The Product Update does on to say, "the recall will be conductioned to check, and retorque the connection fitting. The O-ring seal will be exchanged as a precautionary measure in all chases where the connection fitting shows evidence of loosening."

I just sent an email to my shop foremen, for clarification and advice. I will wait to hear from him, but from the sounds of the recall, it might be worth taking it in for a look see! Better safe then sorry.

Just received word from my Master AMG Tech. Below are his words not mine.
"Nothing can be done until they officially release the recall. I have not seen the tool to perform the repair. Mb will send out a notification to all owners when ready."
