Matte white ?
I'm digging matte white, but hate matte black.
Anyone have any specific knowledge on how to maintain matte white?
Like, does it discolor easily in the sun? How well does it stand up to rock chips, etc.? If you get bird sh** or the like on your car, is it as easy as paint to clean off (and does it do a good job of withstanding staining)? And finally, if it gets scratched, or ruined, and you simply rewrap a panel (a HUGE selling point to me, much cleaner than repainting, but the problem I fear would be....) and you rewrap a panel, if the car is used regularly, would the new panel be obviously "newer" and less dulled looking (forcing a rewrap of the whole car
)Paint, if treated right, will last forever, even with sun and regular use. I've seen several year old cars that aren't garaged, but maintained, get repainted panels, and the matching is great (proving no real dulling of the original paint). With matte, if you had to rewrap a whole car to match the new panel replaced, that would kill the whole value thing with it.
