Well guys,
Its Presidents Day and the traffic was light. Decided to do the unthinkable and make some quick 60-130 runs on spray. First off so you know I'm not crazy on the highway I always make sure there's plenty of room between myself and the car in front to slow down and before I reach them. I also will NOT pass anyone doing this. I MUST be totally alone.
Initially its was total failture because it kept spinning everytime the nitrous came in in 3rd gear and thats on Hoosier drag radials, basically slicks.
At this point I said what the heck I'll start in 4th even though its down around 3,000 rpms. The spray is in 100% at that point and it took off. Made two runs back to back and one of them was 5.98. I sent it to be verified over on sixspeedon line. When its verified I'll let you know. Its on the same stretch of highway I always run so there's no reason it shouldn't be good. I am stoked!!!!

The nitrous LIKES the new cams!!

Crazy! Are you able to reach 130 without shifting into 5th? You gotta try this at the track with 1 shift, I bet you can get that time down to 5.25. Congrats on your new mods!

Edit: Also what was the decline? Flat?

Did u try any NA 7's should be easy for u.

It was flat - All 4th gear. 4th gear goes to 135-140 if you hold it in manual.

I had the nitrous ECU in so I haven't done any N/A runs yet. Hopefully soon. I think 7's will be there for sure but only time will telll.

Depends on the tire. NT05 265's barely make 130 in 4th.


Keep up the hard work! You keep raising the bar. I wish you did some tests just with the hood first to show gains.

Thanks guys for the kudo's, especially Jim who is probably going to set a new standard based on his signature. 8xx RWHP?? WOW!!!!!!!!!!

I've tried to make numerous N/A runs but the weather here in Florida has not been conducive for any improved numbers. When I ran the 8.08 I had skinnies, extremely cold weather, and excellent track prep so improving on that in Florida right now probably isn't going to happen. Its going to be 80 here today so winter is over. She's been in the low 8's with street tires etc... and she feels VERY strong.

The new trans is going to play a bigger factor than the new HP, at least that's my feelings on it. I will have a Vbox hooked up for the Airstrip Attack on Saturday, it's a 50 mph rolling start 1/2 mile race but I am not sure if a 50mph start puts me in my "sweet spot" for a 60-130 pass. You set the bar pretty high my friend.

I still don't care about dyno sheets but I know you don't have track times yet so its better than nothing. If its really making 800whp that's great. Lets see pics of the 2.9 on the car or at least something to back that 800whp number up. Adding forged internals and a blower doesn't automatically add power. I hope you really are making that much power, it would be great for the MB community. Good luck at the track and I look forward to the results. be safe
