Thumbs up AMG door pins - Ebay alternative.

I just wanted to give a heads up to those who are still
looking for AMG door pins. I found what looks like an exact
match on ebay. I had them installed by the dealer and the
tech. said it was pretty straightforward. The fronts just
screw on and the rears pop on. Quality is very good.

$34.99 + $15 shipping.

Nice find. A great alternative to the $200 I spent on OEM ones.

AMG chrome door pins!

Here are some chrome door pins!

$25.99 + $15 shipping

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

I can't guarantee fitment on these but they look similar to the
the aluminum pins that do fit.

Edit: Not sure if AMG is etched on these pins.

Do the rear ones allow you to open the doors, or do they break if you try to do that?

Great find. With the pins fully up, do you see a little black (original pin) on the bottom or does it completely cover it?

When the doors are locked the rear pins stick out about 1/4" but I
can't get a good grip to pull on them. They feel strong and tight
enough that a good pull will not break them.

I used to have original Brabus pins for my C43 but stupeeeeeeeed me sold them!
instead I got those OEM AMG pins and they are to thin!
If you screw the doorpin so you can read the AMG logo from the outside of the car looking into the cabin, take your car out for a spin and then go back home.
You will notice these have moved around them self and the AMG logo is now pointing at a different direction.
Worthless doorpins from MB!
My Brabus pins stayed in the same direction all the time.
Perfect thickness!
Those AMG pins are too thin and I had to wrap them with thin electrical tape to make them a little thicker so they can stay in the correct place AMG logo pointing outside.
And they still don't stay in place after driving, they move around by them self!
Don't waste your money on round OEM AMG pins

Only new pins are visible.

Original pins were removed. New fronts screw down and rears pop in
as per the service tech.

I haven't noticed any movement. The rears should never move
because they are popped in place on a ball joint type of connector.
It's just a matter of lining up the AMG logo to your desire and your
done. The fronts are screw on and once tightened feel solid.

on my w202 C43 AMG I have to use the front pins on the backdoors too!
pins for w204 are too short IIRC and don't fit w202?
therefore I had to buy 4 pcs of front door pins.
they are machined too thin compared to my Brabus which had a great thickness to stay in place.
I have put the AMG logo so it can be red from the outside.
Going out with my car driving, and then stop the car these pins had moved their AMG AS- to a different position.
therefore I had to wrap them with tape to make them a little thicker, but it doesn't help much, they screw around by them self.

Maybe they are a perfect and tight fit for w204?

Yes, these pins fit tight on a W204.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think these will fit your W202.

I've seen on other forums the parts number also fits for w208 CLK.
w208 is basicly the same as my car w202.
I never saw the parts numbers for w202?
I only saw ps numbers for w204 w208 w210 and some other cars with round doorpins, so I used the fronts pins on all 4 doors.
Here's the ps numbers for front/rear doors
A000 766 0228 front
A000 766 0328 rear

So the rears just pop out and then pop in? no need to take off the rear panels?
