Bingo! Yeah, the street tires really rip up that VHT. But you've probably witnessed me launch my SL600 on those same street tires, probably more then anyone on here. Regardless of track, prep, or dedicated street tire lane, I've always been able to cut 1.7X 60's.
Even on the rare occasion when I haven't hooked, I've never spun on the top of second in full boost, and surely never on the top of 3rd at high speeds. Not sure if you saw that pass, I know some did, but getting squirrelly at that speed made me want to put the car away.
My guess is that my new OE Tuning (Jeremy) tune, coupled with Marcin's (Speedriven) TCU tune, removing the torque limiter at 80% throttle is my problem, more than the track was. I think I've just reached the demarcation between WHP/WTQ and available traction. I was able to get by, before the new ECU/TCU, because the TCU's limiters neuters the car in the name of self preservation, on these V12TTs.

Eventually you get to th epoint where you make too much power for street tires. I don't think I could run quicker than high 11's with my 19s on
No worries. We'll get it figured out. Porblem with being the first is.................. well being the first=trial and error. We're going to try and make it back in Nov. as long as we have the tranny worked out by then. If not, no sense in making another 13 hour trip.

Yeah, and my dyno on a Mustang dyno calibrated for DynoJet was 451RWHP / 412 lb-ft RWTQ after my MBH LT headers; and I haven't even "retuned" my RENNtech stage II ecu flash yet, lol!
My issue is that the 2x/yr I run @ the track, I have just street tires...no DRs for better traction and a much better launch.

Yes MT ET Streets... My delta gain from the tune was 65rwhp & 26rwtq. My baseline dyne was around 360 hp & 360 tq. Not sure why they were the same but that's the delta...

I know I should, but I probably won't for just the 2x/yr track runs...I really don't need to break 1/4mi. records or go "all out;" I just like to know my car is pretty fast, haha.

I know, but then I would be increasing my risk that something would break or go wrong...and if that happened, I would be up "shiets creek" since I need my car everyday to drive hundreds of miles around S. FL for work.
