Any more DIY out there? I read the one in the lexus forums and it's good but I want to do enough research before i try it myself!

the top of my plastidipped rear emblem has come off because someone else washed my car after it came out of the shop... so i'm going to have to start over...

so once i get the emblem popped off... i'll be able to just pop it right back in as well?

if you remove the trunk lining (will be required if you want to do the trunk trim) you will see the 3 pins that hold the rear star in place. I used the back of a hammer to push them out from the inside. I ended up painting mine gloss black.

yes. I want to do the trunk trim very much but I wasn't able to figure it out my first try. Was it difficult for you? What all was needed to remove from the back of the trunk trim? You also had to remove the screws from the outside of the trunk trim right?

I think i will go your route on removing the emblem too. I think you're saying I can push it out from the inside right?

This will be my project for tomorrow

for the trunk trim there are 2 hex screws you can see from the bottom and 2 more on the inside right next to the handle handle. You have to remove the trunk liner to access those ones. Once you have the liner out you'll see the 3 pins on the back side of the emblem.

be careful with the trunk trim it's easy to scratch the paint with it on the way out.
