after I put that on my car.. Im gonna get ziebart diamond gloss thing (http://www.ziebart.com/detailing/diamond_gloss/)..

should I still get that even tho I will get diamond gloss to look wet all the time?
what is different between looking just shiny and looking wet?

 

I have never used the Ziebart product and it may work very well.

What Dave does makes the hood as physically perfect as it can be made. In every carbon fiber product I've seen there will be tiny pits and waves. Dave eliminates these by sanding them out and making the hood smooth and then clear coating over the new smooth finish. Its not necessary but it will help protect the hood for life.

Its entirely up to the individually.

 

Im wondering how those pits n waves look bad n how ppl can find easily?

After DHL tried to deliver to the wrong address my hood finally arrived at correct destination today. Wont be installed on car for 2 weeks though. Will post pics asap. Looking at painting it fully except for the slots in the vent which i am thinking of leaving in exposed carbon fibre.

I was just thinking of something while I was working on my list for my build on my C63 this evening. The louvered hood on this application may be a problem in the rain. Im not sure I would like water dumping down into my engine bay. My vehicle is driven 4-5 times a week so I would have to check the weather every time i went out people in rainy areas are out of luck, unless they dont mind bathing the engine every time it rains

 

My car and HHughes1 gets driven in Florida in the rain frequently with no problems. The louvers and vents are NOT over any electrical parts. Rain and car washes have not been a problem so far so don't worry about that.

The three hoods that came over air are in customs here in Orlando. I am getting them released today so I can pick them up.
