Anyone see this hood available still anywhere? MHP has it on amazon but their site disappeared and haven't answered any emails so I'm guessing they're finally done.

A word of warning here. (Nothing to do with Keith at all - GREAT guy). My hood had a faulty gel coat, so when it was painted the paint would be absorbed in certain areas and not in others. My shop did a fantastic job painting the hood but that look would only last a week or so before patches of CF would start showing through. It was a disaster. After throwing $4k at it I had the OE hood put back on. I have no idea what happened to the CF hood...I was so disgusted and pissed I just left it at the shop and haven't seen it or even asked about it since. I assume its gone to the dumpster.

Very sorry you had trouble with your hood, I had no idea. How long ago was this?

EDIT: If anyone is curious.....I am almost at 25k mi on the C63. It has been a DD for the wife for the past few years and she's hooked on higher performance variants of German sedans.

bhamg...you must have gotten a defective one cuz I know Keith always looks out for people and stands behind his products . You should have brought it up when you found the problem .

Still around, still racing, just a different platform. Got hooked on road racing a while back and haven't looked back. Made some great friends on MBWorld and will always help when/if I can.

Agreed....finally got my Ferrari 360 I always wanted and now it's twin turboed so I am having some real fun . The AMG was always great and you helped a lot with that but when the wifey got preganant , it was time to let it go . When our son finally turned 5 , it was time to search for my new toy....and bam , there it was !

Hey Keith - It was in the first couple of months after they arrived stateside. The hood looked absolutely incredible when it was first painted body color but I noticed some CF showing through during the first week. A very cool effect but totally unwanted. I was pretty shocked. My shop repainted it, polished it - again it was looking like a black mirror - and then set the hood out in the hot sun for ten days. The CF starting showing through in random patches again. It was time to cut our losses...
