I'm guessing there's no insurance for this?
Too bad for the Gallardo

On to the wreck....looks like the 'chute deployed correctly. Some have reported it got caught in the wheel but from the video it looks like it deployed properly but caused the car to steer hard right. This seems due to the chute not being long enough and being disrupted by the dirty air coming off the back of the Lambo and the reported high crosswinds. Many people don't understand that getting a car to go fast isn't difficult - slowing it down takes a very good driver with very steady hand/foot.

The stopping was definately difficult, good point!

That is a $400000 hard lesson for that Lambo owner. Many of you might said: if he has a Lambo he must have a lot of money!! Well, probably no more Lambo for sure and probably no more 200MPH stunts for a while...

I wonder if he needed the shoot or if it was for dramatic effect? I would've thought carbon ceramic brakes and the car's areos would've sufficed to bring the car's speed down slowly, unless the run way was particularly short/unsuited to this type of run....

So most of the guys who have parachutes (200mph +) pull them at the 3/4 mile as it will deploy by the mile.
So at approximately 200mph you have roughly 8 seconds to slow down to the turn, not a lot of time at all.
SW had issues with his as well on the supra that day...
