PICS:: Black 18" OEM wheels + a lot more of black

I decided to try out something new for my winter setup. Intead of powdercoating the wheels, which did not work well with my black multispokes (paint chipping off) I gave my wheels to a cool shop where they "baked" my rims. The wheels were baked in a large oven where the paint became more durable. It was more expensive than powdercoating but they guaranteed it was worth it. The color is satin black but now I know should have gone with gloss black. Nevertheless IMO the wheels look amazing, much better than stock paint.

I finally got the roof rack wrapped in matte black vinyl. Perfect match. The only part which bugs me now are the door handles, which can't be wrapped in vinyl. I also have to black out the 6.3_AMG emblem on the front fenders.

Also on one of the last pics you can see my blacked out mirror turn signals. I tried to take a pic while they were on so you could see the cool effect of orange LEDs glowing from under the black paint.

Yes, I know I'm missing my fog lights. They are blacked out lying in my garage but I'm in the process of looking for alternatives to 8000k HID kits which I do not want to install. Any suggestions?

Sorry for the blurry pictures and bad lighting but it was dawn already and the weather is really crappy at the moment in Poland.

AZN_Optics supplied me with 8000k LEDs.
No issues, no errors, quick shipment.

I ordered another set for my license plate to match the eyelids

Beautiful car. I have no idea why north americans don't like wagons.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you black out all of the trim and grille?

I don't mind. That's what we're here for - to share stuff and look for new ideas and inspiration.

They were wrapped with black vinyl and I recommend to all who are planning to do this -
GO WITH GLOSS VINYL! It matches my Obsidian Black perfectly. Looks like it came from the factory.

My roof rack is done in satin matte black vinyl because it matches the middle tabs better.

Awesome, thank you.

Did the dealer do that, or did an aftermarket shop?

I don't think dealerships do this kind of work. Two friends of mine who run an advertising company did it for me. They wrap cars as a hobby and earn a few extra bucks.

Small update
I got my black fogs finally installed - perfect match. The lens itself is wrapped with tinted vinyl (wrapped myself) and the chrome ring is wrapped in black gloss vinyl to match the grill and paint.

As you can see on the pics, the Phillips Crystal Vision 4300k H7 bulbs turned out to be a disaster so I'll replace them with a Hid Kit 8000k in the Spring or so. For now it has to stay the way it is. I still can't get used to the 18" wheels after seeing my 19" Multispokes all year long. They're way to small.

Mods still to come:
- Paint the 6.3_AMG badges black,
- H&R 20mm lowering springs,
- CF apron lips on front bumper,
- Golden/Dark Orange powdercoated calipers,
- Evosport rotors,
- Black powdercoated exhaust tips.
